Antimagic Susceptibility. The tomes are incapacitated while in the area of an antimagic field. If targeted by dispel magic, the tomes must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against the caster's spell save DC or fall unconscious for 1 minute.
False Appearance. While the armor remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a stack of books.
Spellcasting. The tomes count as a 5th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). The tomes have the following wizard spells prepared:
1. Grease
2. Sleep
3. Earth Tremor
8. Blur
9. Shatter
10. Antagonize
11. Haste
12. Fireball
Mindless Focus. The construct can maintain concentration on up to two spell at once, and has a +3 to Constitution Saving Throws to maintain concentration.
Multiattack. The tomes make one slam attack and one chaotic casting attack.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage.
Chaotic Casting. Roll a d12. The animated tomes cast the corresponding spell from its prepared spells. Once a spell is cast in this way, it cannot be cast again until the next dawn; if you roll a spell that has already been cast, reroll until you roll a spell that can be cast.
Description
The tomes rest in a harmless looking pile. When animated, the sound of fluttering pages is overwhelming to those nearby it. Its pages are lit up with arcane runes. As it casts a spell, one of these pages glow brightly before dimming entirely.
