Dread Ambusher. On the first round of combat, the Blighted Warden's walking speed increases by 10 feet, and it can make an additional weapon attack that deals an extra 1d8 damage on a hit.
Halo of Spores (Recharge on a Short or Long Rest). As a reaction, the Blighted Warden can deal 1d4 necrotic damage to one creature it can see within 10 feet when the creature moves into the area or starts its turn there. CON save DC 13 to negate.
Symbiotic Entity (Recharge on a Short or Long Rest). When the Blighted Warden uses its Wild Shape feature, it can awaken its spores instead, gaining 8 temporary hit points and dealing an additional 1d6 necrotic damage with its melee weapon attacks. This effect lasts for 10 minutes or until it loses all the temporary hit points.
Umbral Sight. The Blighted Warden is invisible to creatures that rely on darkvision to see it in total darkness.
Spellcasting. The Blighted Warden is a 3rd-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). The Blighted Warden has the following Druid spells prepared:
- Cantrips (at will): Druidcraft, Produce Flame, Chill Touch
- 1st level (4 slots): Entangle, Faerie Fire, Goodberry, Healing Word
Multiattack. The Blighted Warden makes two attacks: one with its longbow and one with its shortsword, or it can cast a spell.
Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 3 piercing damage.
Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d6 + 3 piercing damage.
Chill Touch (Cantrip). Ranged Spell Attack: +5 to hit, range 120 ft., one creature. Hit: 2d8 necrotic damage, and the target can't regain hit points until the start of the Blighted Warden's next turn.
Fungal Retaliation. The Blighted Warden can use its reaction to unleash a cloud of necrotic spores from its body when it takes damage from a melee attack. The creature that dealt the damage must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC 13. On a failed save, the creature takes necrotic damage equal to half the damage it inflicted on the Blighted Warden, and it is poisoned until the end of its next turn.
Description
