Iomic Crown of Necromancy. Berit wears above his mask and beneath his cowl, a crown which holds an enchanted jewel which was cut from Iomic Crystal. It enhances his magic significantly, granting him a powerful, defiling aura and the ability to perform necromancy using only his thoughts to cast.
Every round at the beginning of Berit's turn during combat while wearing the crown, three skeletons rise from the grave and join his side. Additionally, every three rounds, two skeletal alchemists rise to his aid in addition to the three skeletons. Finally, every five rounds a drowned blade joins Berit's side in addition to any skeletons or skeletal alchemists risen that same round.
Every time an undead creature dies within 30 feet of Berit, the creature's essence is absorbed into his crown and he regains 5 hit points.

Description
Berit, Cowled Wizard of Amn
Not much is known about Berit, even amongst his fellow cowled wizards. He's earned a reputation for being an incredibly powerful wizard who specializes in necromancy. Rarely one to speak, he's a very mysterious and creepy individual.
Cowled Wizards of Amn
The Cowled Wizards were a secretive cabal of wizards in Amn formed in the 13 century DR. While they were originally guardians of arcane knowledge and lore, their years of obsessively monitoring foreign mages who traveled to the Merchant's Domain, caused them to gradually transform into an autocratic authority over magic in the nation.
Overall, the Cowled Wizards detested unsanctioned uses of magic in Amn and either censured or otherwise eliminated the offenders to protect the practice of the Art. Some Cowled Wizards wielded their power for their own gain, eliminating their political and financial rivals and securing agreements that were not sanctioned by the organization as a whole.
When they were not undertaking official business, the Cowled Wizards worked as merchants, librarians, apothecaries or other similar professions. While anonymity was paramount to their operations, members were allowed to reveal their identity to immediate family, and typically knew the identity of two or three fellow Wizards.
