False Appearance. While submerged in the ground, the Lurevine appears indistinguishable from a beautiful blossoming flower.

Actions

Multiattack. The Lurevine makes three attacks. One bite and two spikeroot attacks or three spikeroot attacks, when submerged.

 

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d12 + 4) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) poison damage. The target must suceed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned with a paralyzing toxing that will gradually paralyze it. 

At the end of each of its turns a poisoned creature looses 5 ft. of movement. When it reaches 0 movement it becomes paralyzed for 1 minute. On the start if each of its turns, the creature can repeat the saving throw, stopping the poison on a successful save. The poison keeps its effect for 1 hour.  

Spikeroot. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage.

 

Bonus Actions

Emerge/Submerge. As a bonus action the Lurevine can either emerge or submerge its body from/into the ground. When submerged the Lurevine's movement becomes 0 but the reach of the spikeroot attack becomes 30 ft. and the AC increases by 1.

Description

A twig blight is an awakened plant that resembles a woody shrub that can pull its roots free of the ground. Its branches twist together to form a humanoid-looking body with a head and limbs.
