Description

Werebutterflies can only be created after a werecaterpillar successfully completes its month-long pupation. Many werecaterpillars see their metamorphosis as a spiritual journey, and the werebutterfly form a method of spiritual enlightenment. Werebutterflies make their homes in mountaintop oases or forest gardens, sustaining on nectar from colossal flowers and plants.

Few werebutterflies however feed on the living. Mostly preying at night and silently drinking from the sleeping. These werebutterflies are considered Chaotic Evil.

A werebutterfly’s hybrid form features segmented eyes, an extended proboscis, antennae, gossamer wings with incredible designs, and two additional arms. Some werebutterflies train as clerics or spellcasters and know spells in addition to their normal abilities.

Player Characters as Werebutterflies. A character can only become a werebutterfly if they have first completed their pupation as a werecaterpillar. A character with werebutterfly lycanthropy gains a Dexterity score of 17, unless it is already higher. They gain the Werebutterfly’s bite attack, Dexterity is their ability for the attack. With their additional arms the werebutterfly can wield two additional one-handed weapons or one additional two-handed weapon.
