Traits

Water Mastery. The Boloti has advantage on attack rolls if both it and its opponent are in water. If the opponent and the boloti are both on dry ground, the boloti has disadvantage on attack rolls.

Innate Spellcasting. The Bolt's main spell casting modifier is intelligence (spell save DC 11). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components.

At Will: detect magic, water walk

3/day: control water, compelled duel, fog cloud, invisibility, see invisibility, ice knife

1/day: wall of ice

Actions

Multiattack. The Boloti makes two claw attacks or casts a spell, and also makes one attack per tendril.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) slashing damage.

Tendril. The Boloti may make one attack (or grapple attempt w/ +5) with each of its tendrils. As part of this attack, the tendrils can move 10ft. The attack is made from the tendrils space. If the tendril does not attack, it may move 20ft instead.

Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (3d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Bonus Actions

Summon Tendril. As a bonus action, the Boloti may use its mastery over water to summon a tendril if it controls less than 5 of them. This tendril may appear anywhere in water up to 30ft from the Boloti. Damage taken by tendril is reflected back on the Boloti, it is resistant to all damage it takes this way other than cold or lightning damage. The Tendrils have the following characteristics.

-AC=13

-Movement=10ft, 20ft if not attacking.

-Each tendril has its own reaction it can use to make opportunity attacks separate from the Boloti.

-A Tendril is destroyed if it takes more than 15 damage.

Description

The Boloti are fey which resemble an odd mixture of frog, newt, and humanoid and bear a pair of watery wings. Mostly found alone or in rare cases, in small communities, within the lakes, rivers, streams, and swamps of the fey wild, they occasionally make their way to other planes where they are happy to take refuge in any body of water. The Boloti are natural swimmers and have a close affinity with water, allowing them to control it as if it were an extension of themselves.

Capricious Gluttons.

The Boloti are mostly known for their insatiable appetite and willingness to eat anything that moves. A Boloti licks its lips when it sees any creature it thinks it can take down, and get extra excited when they spot something they have yet to taste. While some Boloti live together, many stay alone. This is because most Boloti feel little guilt over eating their comrades if they get hungry enough.

Pink Boloti.

Pink Boloti are a sub-species of the fey creatures that are much more civilized. Characterized by pinkish skin and axolotl-type gills (horns), these Boloti live mainly in the Endless Sea of the Feywild and most are associated with or work in the Court of the Endless Sea/Pearl Court. They often find work as chefs or fishermen as they carry the same love of eating as their kin, but with less ferocity.

Many conjecture that these Pink Boloti are the actual original version rather than a sub-species, with the Boloti in the rest of the feywild being cursed or twisted versions that have emerged from the underfey. The truth is unknown, however, as neither group is intent on keeping historical records.
