False Appearance. While the Anci-Ent remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a massive tree. If it initiates combat from this state, all other creatures within 80 feet of the Anci-Ent are surprised for the first round of combat unless their Passive Perception is above 17.
Primeval Barkskin. While the Anci-Ent has more than half of its maximum Hit Points, it is immune to Fire Damage and gains +2 to its Armor Class, but its walking speed is 25 feet.
Siege Monster. The Anci-Ent deals double damage to objects and structures.
Magic Resistance. The Anci-Ent has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the Anci-Ent fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Multiattack. The Anci-Ent can make two attacks; if it is below half of its maximum Hit Points, it can make four attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (5d6 + 8) bludgeoning damage. If this attack hits a creature, it must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Boulder. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 35 (5d10 + 8) bludgeoning damage.
Vine Grasp. The Anci-Ent slams the ground, causing thick roots to emerge from the earth and lash out at all unrestrained hostile creatures within 80 feet of it. The targeted creatures must succeed on a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or become restrained. A creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its following turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. At the beginning of each of the creature's turns, if it is still restrained by Vine Grasp, it takes 14 (2d6 + 8) bludgeoning damage.
Kernel Kaboom. The Anci-Ent rustles its branches and launches up to 4 magical 5x5x5 foot seeds towards hostile creatures within 80 feet of it. These seeds are treated as Ranged Weapon Attacks: +13 to hit, range 80 ft., one target per seed. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 8) bludgeoning damage. After the attack, the seeds take root into the ground and begin swelling with magical power. At the start of the Anci-Ent's next turn, these seeds detonate in a 20 foot radius, dealing 50 (10d10) force damage on a failed DC 19 Dexterity saving throw to all other unallied creatures, objects, and structures; or half as much damage on a successful save. These seeds have an Armor Class of 15 and have 10 Hit Points; if their Hit Points drop to 0, they are destroyed and will not detonate.
Animate Trees (1/Day). The Anci-Ent magically animates up to four trees it can see within 60 feet of it. These trees have the same statistics as a treant, except they have Intelligence and Charisma scores of 1, they can't speak, and they have only the Slam action option (Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (3d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage). An animated tree acts as an ally of the Anci-Ent. The tree remains animate for 1 day or until it dies; until the Anci-Ent dies or is more than 120 feet from the tree; or until the Anci-Ent takes a bonus action to turn it back into an inanimate tree. The tree then takes root if possible.
Bramble Briar Bark. As a bonus action, the Anci-Ent sprouts sharp sturdy branches and thorns from its body. When the Anci-Ent is hit with a melee attack, these growths deal 10 (2d10) piercing damage back to the attacker. Additionally, ranged weapon attacks against the Anci-Ent are made with disadvantage. Up to 5 total layers of Bramble Briar Bark are able to sprout and they persist as long as the Anci-Ent is alive and in combat. Each additional layer of Bramble Briar Bark causes its damage to increase by 5 (1d10), but reduces the Anci-Ent's walking speed by 5 feet. If the Anci-Ent is hit with an attack, spell, or cantrip that normally deals Fire damage, all layers of Bramble Briar Bark are destroyed.
The Anci-Ent can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Anci-Ent regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Vine Grasp. The Anci-Ent targets one creature with Vine Grasp.
Move. The Anci-Ent moves up to half its speed.
Attack. The Anci-Ent makes one Slam or one Boulder attack.
