Musket takes an action to load and an action to fire. Deals 1D10 damage on a successful hit plus 2 piercing damage, at a range of 20 feet or less a hit takes a roll of 10 or higher, further then that requires a roll of +1 to that stat for every 5 feet. Unlimited range, but after a certain distance will never hit unless a 20 is rolled.
Bayonet deals 1D6 of damage on a successful hit of 8 or higher in close range, and allows the guard to use an action to sprint 25 feet in a straight line and attack that way, but ending his turn. This action can only be used once per guard. The bayonet will deal 2D6 damage instead if hit in this fashion. Bayonet is fixed onto the musket, and has a range of 10 feet.
Sword deals 1D8 of damage on a successful hit of 8 or higher. It hangs at the guard's side as a sidearm, and has a range of 5 feet.
If there is one Emerian Guard left in a fight, if a bell is nearby, it will attempt to reach and ring the bell as an action, to call for backup. The only time it will not attempt this would be if the bell is destroyed/visibly disabled, or if it has a single opponent left and is in good health.
Upon being attacked, if the guard did no action the previous turn, it will strike back with whatever melee weapon it's holding.
Upon being attacked by a melee weapon, the guard will attempt to block the attack with whatever it's holding. It rolls a D6, and on an odd number, will block the damage.
Description
Emerian Guards are military police deployed by Morgal, Emeria's dictator, to forcefully keep the peace. They are selected because they rarely disobey orders, and are generally fine with suppressing the populace. They have decent training and can be found in the streets making sure the regular police enforce Morgal's brutal laws, in prisons, and in public buildings and even within the housing of some of Morgal's better friends, to keep them safe from potential assassins. Emerian Guards are all required to learn Undercommon, as it's the second most used language in Emeria and is often used by criminals to relay information.
