Description
The Silkfang is a large insect that is occasionally seen within the 1st layer of the Abyss.
With a purplish blue exoskeleton, It is a 4 legged 2 armed insect with orange fly like eyes, a jittering mandible, and a large cotton ball like protrusion from the back of its midsection that seems to be connected to various strings that disappear into the webbed dome above. On the other side of the cotton ball is a hairy paler sac, with an orange pigment to the top side, as well as two bulbous like fingers at the back.
The Silkfang lives in its Webbed Dome for its entire life either at the top underside, or down fighting and capturing prey. This domes lip is fairly shallow, the top being 30 ft off the ground, where its edge starts about 20 ft off the ground. They build their dome in a typically wooded area with the center of the dome in a partial clearing.
These insects have a weird hopping like movement, where it bounces in its 4 legs and pulling on its string to jump 15ft into the air while moving at a steady horizontal pace.
