Legendary Resistance (3) Day: If Bacaw fails a saving throw, they can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance: Bacaw has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack: Bacaw makes five attacks: two with their bite and three with their claws.

Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: + 19 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 46 (6d12 + 10) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it is grappled (escape DC 20). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and Bacaw can't bite another target.

Claw: Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 15ft., one target. Hit: 28 (4d8 + 10) slashing damage.

Swallow: Bacaw makes one bite attack against a Large or smaller creature they are grappling. If the attack hits, the target takes the bite's damage, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside Bacaw, and it takes 56 (l6d6) acid damage at the start of each of Bacaws turns. If Bacaw takes 60 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, Bacaw must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of Bacaw. If Bacaw dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by them and can escape from the corpse by using 30 feet of movement, exiting prone.

Legendary Actions

Bacaw can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Bacaw regains spent legendary actions at the start of their turn.

Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions): Bacaw flaps their wings. Each creature within 20 feet of Bacaw must succeed on a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw or take 24 (3d12 + 4) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. Bacaw can then fly up to half their flying speed.

Bomb Egg (Costs 2 Actions): Bacaw Lays a giant egg. Each creature within 10 feet of the egg has to make a D.C 20 Dexterity saving throw or takes 30 (6d10) points of bludgeoning damage as the egg crushes them and knocks them prone. Creatures in 50ft radius then need to make a D.C 21 Dexterity saving throw or take an additional 12(4d6) acid damage as the egg explodes on impact.

Description

Bacaw, the mighty god of the chickens, is a powerful god indeed. It is said that his rooster calls is what gets the sun up in the morning. About the size of a Tarrasque, Bacaw towers over the world and watches over his chicken brethren. He has a natural enemy, and that enemy is KFC.

(Note: this monster is not supposed to be taken seriously, as I just made him for fun because I could. If you want to bring him into a campaign, I'd recommend giving him what you think a chicken would sound like if it could talk.)

Lair and Lair Actions

Bacaws lair is literally just a chicken coop, large enough to let him fit in it.

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Bacaw takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Bacaw can't use the same effect two rounds in a row:

Rooster Call: Bacaw calls upon 50 swarms of chickens (ravens in stat block), to assist him temporarily in combat.  The swarm lasts until the round is over. On each creatures turn, they have to make a D.C 18 Dexterity Saving Throw, or will be attacked by 1d50 swarms. Bacaw is not affected by this.

“Bright and Early in the Morning”: Sunlight will enter into the chicken coop, lighting up the entire area. Each creature must make a D.C 23 Wisdom saving throw or will take 60 (8d12+12) fire damage and will be permanently blinded. If they save, they take half damage and are not blind. Bacaw is not affected by the light.

Feathers in the Wind: a gust of wind will start forming, picking up chicken feathers. Creatures within a 60ft radius in it will have disadvantage on Perception checks, and will have a 50% chance of being blinded and deafened (Roll a d100, 1-50: No blindness/deafness, 51-100: blinded/deafened) for a round. Creatures also need to make D.C 18 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone by the wind. Bacaw is not affected by this.
