Traits

Absorbent. Anytime the Blighted Kong would take acid or Blight damage it heals that much instead.

Regrowth. If the Blighted Kong is not dead, it regains 1d12 hp at the start of it's turn.

Plant Ruler. If a spell that involves controlling, creating, or targeting plants( not "Blight") goes off near the Blighted Kong, it can roll a contested arcana check to take control of the spell using the original caster's spell slot.

Erased. Should a character be killed outright by Blight damage, they are considered erased from existence.

Actions

Multiattack. The ape makes two fist attacks.

Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +10; to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (4d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

Blight tree. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7; to hit, range 40/200 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d10 + 5) poison damage. all possible targets in a 5ft radius of the landing stot must roll a DC 17 Con save, on fail targets are poisoned.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +10, to hit, reach 25ft., one target. Hit: 13 (4d4 + 5) bludgeoning damage. on hit, the target makes a contested grapple check(DC 19), on fail the target is restrained. if the tail is currently grappling someone, this attack can not be used.

Ray of Decay. (recharge 8 on d8): range 15ft wide, 300 ft line., all possible targets must succeed a DC 20 Dex saving throw or take 70 (10d12 + 5) Blight damage. if the target is in a forest biome they make the save with disadvantage, take no damage on a successful save.

Bonus Actions

Nightmarish Wail. If the Blighted Kong takes no action for any reason, at the end of its turn, it makes an intimidating roar targeting all who can hear it. They must succeed in a DC 16 WIS save, or they are frightened of the kong until the start of the Kong's next turn. On the player's turn, they can use their action to reroll the WIS save; a nat 20 on this reroll does not consume the primary action.

Reactions

Drain. if the Blighted Kong has someone grappled in its tail, it can deal that target 10 (4d4) Blight damage, and then heal that same amount. Regardless of the hp the target has. ressistence does apply.

Description

A strange and disturbing, i hesitate to call it a, creature; it looks, acts, moves, and even seems to function as a normal Giant Ape; however, it is no more than a hive mass of plants. The creature does appear to have a functioning pseudo-mammalian anatomy.

it appears as a Giant Ape with flowers growing on its arms the size of a kitten, a 15ft long tail of brambles with hardened flower bud cones, fists wrapped in hardened roses, and on its back lies a grand blooming flower the size of a person.

it has been recorded that when a Blossoming Ape settles on a location for its territory, a forest will grow in only 1d4 weeks.
