Unusual Nature. Aruka doesn’t need air, food, drink, or sleep.
Spellcasting: Has access to spells including: Abi-Dalzim’s Horrid Wilting, Animate Dead, Bestow Curse, Blight, Blindness/Deafness, Cause Fear, Chill Touch, Circle of Death, Contagion, Eyebite, Finger of Death, Harm, Eldritch Blast, Mage Hand, Ray of Frost, Thunderwave, Cloudkill, Disintegrate, Dominate Monster, Power Word: Stun.
Corruption: Can corrupt a spell that he sees used bonus action. Aruka can then cast that same spell but adding his own modifiers to it. Only lasts one battle.
Far Realm Step. Immediately after taking damage, Aruka, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, magically teleports up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.
Dispel: 3 times per day Aruka can use cast the spell Dispel Magic as a reaction.
Repel: Aruka can point a finger at his opponent and send them flying 10 feet back dealing 7d6 Force damage.
Summon: Aruka can summon a set number of undead: CR 10-15 = 10 undead at a time CR 5-9 = 20 undead at a time CR 1-4 = 50 undead at a time and CR 0-1/2 = 100 undead at a time.
Consume Thoughts: Aruka can place both hands on the temples of his opponent and stare into his eyes. The target must then make a DC 23 INT saving throw or succumb to Aruka's invasion. If failed target will have their thoughts absorbed by Aruka and he will take all the information that their brain holds. The target will be left as a hollow shell of a person with no thoughts or bodily movement. They are not dead but the only part of their body that still works is their heart and lungs.
Description
In life, Aruka was a human wizard named Karau Silver. He was the twin brother of the founder of Nubror; David Sliver I. Karau was so jealous of his brother for his legendary exploits that, after David died, he became a lich and changed his name to Aruka. After haunting the royal family of Nubror for over 2000 years he gained the title "The Unforgiving". until the current king, David Silver LXXV, ascended to the throne and was able to confront Aruka, something that no other kings dare after too many deaths. After being defeated by David LXXV, Aruka hid in The Old Palace of Nubror and began amassing followers and power until his is able to kill the king.
Living Illusion: A 7 foot tall human wizard adorned in fine and expensive robes. Long black hair draped over his shoulders and an incredibly cultured and well educated voice
Lich Form: A 7 foot tall skeleton with glowing green eyes wearing a eldritch green robe and holding a 6 foot tall ornate wooden staff with a neon green crystal the same color as his eyes at the top.
Lair and Lair Actions
Aruka's glyph resides in the final room of The Dungeon under the city of Nubror. As part of the royal family of Nubror he know the layout of the city relatively well. When the adventurers find the glyph and activate it they are transported to the lair. His lair consist of the throne room of the old castle of Nubror which is located under/inside the current castle. As the portal to Aruka's phylactery is inside The Old Throne of Nubror he can be found sitting on it when the adventurers find it. after they defeat Aruka the adventurers must destroy the throne and use the portal inside to travel to Aruka's phylactery.
Actions: On his turn Aruka can invoke any of the following lair actions.
- Aruka can use his lair action to cause an earthquake. Any creature in his lair must make a DC 16 DEX save or fall prone.
- Aruka can use his lair action to cast the spell antimagic field o his entire lair but the effects of the spell do not apply to Aruka .
- Aruka can use his lair action to make every creature in his lair make a DC 16 CON save or be blinded.
