Magic Resistance. The wendigo has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a target's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to the wendigo's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Description

The Wendigo is a gaunt, emaciated creature with pale, mottled skin stretched tightly over its bones. It towers other being 14 feet tall with long limbs and sharp claws that can slice clean through a mountain face, teeth that can bite through titanium, and long spindly wooden antlers that can pierce the toughest of trees.
