Legendary Actions

Black Hole Cataclysm (Costs 3 Actions). The dreamer conjures the unfathomable power of a collapsing black hole at a point of its choosing within 500 feet. A gravitational vortex tears at the fabric of reality, pulling in everything within an 80-foot radius of the chosen point. Creatures, objects, and even light are inexorably drawn towards the singularity at the center of the black hole.

Each creature in the area must make a DC 25 Strength saving throw, taking 15d10 force damage and being pulled towards the center of the black hole by 20 feet on a failed save, or half as much damage and not being pulled on a successful one. Additionally, any creature that fails the saving throw by 5 or more is restrained by the gravitational force, unable to move and suffering from the effects of extreme pressure.

The black hole remains in place for 1 minute or until the creature uses a legendary action to dismiss it. Any creature that starts its turn within 20 feet of the black hole's center must repeat the saving throw or suffer the same effects. Any creature reduced to 0 hit points by the black hole is instantly disintegrated, its matter consumed by the voracious hunger of the singularity.

Description

In the annals of humanity, there exist individuals whose destinies are intertwined with the fabric of the cosmos itself. Known as Dreamers, these rare and extraordinary humans possess the latent ability to tap into a divine power bestowed upon all of humanity by the enigmatic Outer Gods.

Born into the mundane world like any other mortal, Dreamers walk the same paths and breathe the same air as their fellow humans. Yet, hidden within the depths of their souls lies a dormant spark, a connection to the cosmic energies that suffuse the universe. Though forgotten by most of humanity, this divine potential slumbers within each Dreamer, waiting to be awakened by the touch of fate.

For the vast majority of Dreamers, this power lies dormant, untouched and untapped throughout their lives. Only on the rarest of occasions—perhaps once, twice, or thrice in a lifetime—do these individuals find themselves at the nexus of destiny, their souls resonating with the celestial energies that flow through the cosmos.

When a Dreamer awakens their power for the first time, it is as if a floodgate is opened within their soul, unleashing a torrent of divine energy that transforms them into vessels of cosmic might. This initial awakening serves as a catalyst, imprinting upon their soul the knowledge of how to access their divine abilities. With each subsequent awakening, it becomes easier for the Dreamer to tap into this power, their connection to the cosmic energies growing stronger with each passing moment.

The trigger for a Dreamer's awakening is often an intense emotion such as fear or desperation, though the exact circumstances vary from individual to individual. Once awakened, a Dreamer may remain in this heightened state for a few moments, days, or even weeks, their powers waxing and waning with the ebb and flow of their emotions.

Yet, as the years pass and the Dreamer grows older, the ability to tap into this divine power becomes increasingly elusive. The weight of age and experience weighs heavy upon their soul, making it more difficult to reach the heights of transcendence that they once knew. Though the memory of their divine awakenings may linger with them, like a distant echo of a forgotten dream, the power of the Dreamers remains a fleeting and ephemeral gift, bestowed upon only the rarest and most deserving of mortals.

When a Dreamer is not accessing this power he/she looks just like a normal human

Lair and Lair Actions

Regional Effects

The area around a dreamer is imbued with cosmic energy, which creates one or more of the following effects:

  • Strange tears in reality occur causing weird looking effects
  • All creatures nearby feel a profound presence that is always at the back of their mind
  • Some creatures can have visions of the past or future when near a dreamer
  • Objects from the past or future can appear randomly that stay up to four days then disappear
  • Sometimes creatures from the far realms are drawn here by the dreamers power

If the dreamer dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d2 days. If the dreamer returns to mortal form these effects fade instantly  (Note: the region around a dreamer is 5 miles and it moves with the dreamers movements)
