Traits

Devil’s Sight. Magical darkness doesn’t impede the ayperobo swarm's darkvision.

Magic Resistance. The ayperobo swarm has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Swarm. The ayperobo swarm can occupy another creature’s space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny creature. The ayperobo swarm cannot regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.

Actions

Multiattack. The ayperobo swarm makes three Bite attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 27 (8d4 + 7) piercing damage. The damage is halved if the swarm has less than half of its hit points (65 or fewer).

Burrow (Recharge 6).  On a successful Bite attack, the creatures may burrow inside the opponent's flesh. When the swarm burrows, it deals additional 35 (10d6) necrotic damage and takes control of the creature.

At the start of each of its turns, the target may attempt to expell the creatures with a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. On a success, the ayperobo swarm is expelled and the target takes 14 (4d6) (4d6) piercing damage.

While burrowed inside a creature, the ayperobo swarm has total cover against attacks targeting them, and no longer acts on their own initiative. Instead, they take total control over the body of their host, gaining all of its abilities, attacks, and equipment.

They act during the host’s turn, taking actions based on their host. If a host dies while the ayperobo swarm is burrowed, they leave the host at the end of the host’s turn, rolling new initiative if necessary. Creatures acting as hosts to the ayperobo swarm are fully aware of their actions and surroundings, but are incapable of physically operating their body. This is a spell-like ability of the swarm and cannot be counterspelled.

Description

(This monster's stats were reproduced almost entirely from 'Chains of Asmodeus'. Small description modifications as deemed necessary)

The swarm is formed by a large group of tiny and chubby winged devils with the size of small birds. Their mouths are almost the size of their oversized heads and full of sharp teeth. An individual ayperobo is practically harmless and often devoured and abused by larger devils. But if gathered together in swarms, they are much stronger and capable of holding their own against larger creatures.

When working together in a large swarm, ayperobos communicate through telepathy and can devour a humanoid in a matter of seconds, depending on their numbers. While swarming, ayperobos look like a thick cloud of blood, and may disguise themselves in such environments. The swarm has the ability to control an opponent's body by burrowing under its skin and manipulating it from the inside. These hosts can even be other devils, if the ayperobos decide to exact revenge upon their tormentors.
