Jumpy. The cricket can jump ten feet in any direction, including up. They often jump onto high places when frightened.

Female Sword. Female cave crickets have a sword-like tail that they use to puncture plants to implant eggs. Females can also use the sword to attack those threatening them. 

Cowardly. Unless baby crickets are present, crickets flee the area when one or more of them die.
