Volantis

As an orc, Volantis held the rank of Orc Lord and was the right hand of Thela the Conqueror, Warmother of the Golden Horde. They went around like a cloud of locusts, razing and dominating everything in their sight, plundering and increasing the numbers of soldiers in the Horde. In one of those campaigns, the whole horde was teleported into a fey dimension of demons. Destruction and corpses were left behind, easily seen even by the blind. Unfortunately, one fateful day, Warmother was assassinated, and the Horde was blown to bits, with few surviving, among whom was Volantis. It is implied that he went into a murderous rage after Thela's assassination by demons, raging around, destroying, and killing everything in his path, leaving endless mountains of corpses and lakes of blood in his wake. The fight continued until he lost not only the war against the demons he waged, but also his body, which, after pushing its limits multiple times, finally gave up. He was then killed by demons on a molten mountain, surrounded by countless broken swords and demon corpses. His soul was sealed and used by the residents of hell to create their special type of equipment called Living Armor, reserved only for the strongest of demons who were worthy of the aforementioned armor. In this process Demon becoming Living Armour's Armored. The souls of mighty entities are used in this process, molded with special ores and resources with the help of a master blacksmith, magic, and runes, ultimately transforming into a vicious-looking set of armor, losing all of their memories in the process. Yet their equivalent "muscle memory" in their abilities and experiences stay. Example of those being experience in fighting or deeply rooted wisdom, remaing the same and unchanged. He felt the pain of being forged into something he was not, having his soul hammered over and over again as his memories were sealed, and he was turned into the Living Armor, Volantis. Serving for years to come for one of the many demons he killed and brutalized on his last crusade as an Orc. Eventually, his Armored was killed by one of the usurpers of Death Lord's authority, commonly named as Necromancers. As for the Death Lord,  is but one of the many aliases for the one and only God of Death. The God recognized the might and potential of Volantis, and Volantis acknowledged him as worthy of being his master, so he ended up as part of Death Lord's Legion. The Death God bestowed upon Volantis a part of his power, with which he became a necromancer of a special kind. He was the first entity to unconsciously, with the help of his deeply buried memories, deeply rooted traditions, and experiences, create a new path in death. Its name is Occultation of the Shattered Bone. Usurpers following this path, instead of embracing death and summoning fallen as their soldiers, use body parts of other living beings to enhance themselves or create undead chimeras, as well as using this authority in experimentation on the living. But Volantis's situation was peculiar. He does not have a body of flesh and blood, yet the power given by the god worked in miraculous ways. It worked differently in his case, but on the same principles. It manifested in form of "Stitchings". He was bestowed with ability to "assimilate" parts of living creatures with his armour body. Those parts are absorbed and imprinted into his being as a rune on his body, so after whole process his physical apperance isn't changed. However he can than use those runes and materialize those parts on his own body with process similar to stiching two bodyparts together without need for material components. Even though he is undead with endless stamina, this ability uses his mana to operate and he can't change stichings to quickly unless he uses some of his life force as a sacrifice so he can change it immedatly to other one or renew it. Stichings are divided into two categories: weapon type and armour type. Through decades of his life he collected extreme amount of body parts of every opponent he bested and decreeted them as worthy opponents. Such as extremally strong opponents in physical sense or magical one. After that, he began his duty as a guardian and crusader of the Death Lord, continuing the massacre he had stopped, being killed by demons. Battling countless foes, some of whom were worthy of being absorbed into his being as another stitching in his arsenal.
