Description

Athenadra was born a noble among the cloud giant society. The cloud giants put knowledge and preservation above all. She was put through the best teachings the city provided. Here Athenadra learned to control the weather and other various spells. She learned of the other giants of the world, their wants, desires, and tendencies. After graduating, Athenadra was on track to join university. One day there was sound that erupted over the city walls, the Mountain Splitter horn of war.

Queen Meridian Bonebreaker “The Flesh Eater” made her way to the gate of the city leading an army of 500 raging and bloodthirsty hill giants. Meridian let out a bodacious claim that she jut wanted to talk. The 60 cloud giant archers that lined the wall would not hold them forever, and neither would the 140 infantry members behind it. Knowing this information, the leaders allowed Meridian to enter. She made a deal to vassalize the cloud giants taking many of them into his forces. Athenadra was one of the first to go.

The cloud giants were used for their knowledge to train Meridian's forces in mind and body. Athenadra was put in charge of a unit of 100 hill giants. She fell into line with the goal of survival, she would never see her home again. Athenadra led the giants on a small warpath across the hill giant countryside recruiting any survivors into Meridian's army. After 250 years she now had her own army of 1000 giants. She would prove her expertise in battle when she took the fight directly to Meridian's enemy Azarab Splitskull. In a twist of irony she brought Queen Meridian his head. After this Athenadra was promoted to the head trainer and made a member of Meridian's inner council.

135 years later the great mountain separating the storm giants of the north was split down the middle by a bolt of lightning that may have been mistaken for a falling star. King Solomon now crowned 'The Mountain Splitter" was leading his own crusade into the south. Solomon requested a meeting with Meridian. Athenadra pleaded for her not to go, but Meridian wouldn't listen. After feigning peace, Solomon bisected Meridian in front of her people. Athenadra thought of taking the hill giants for herself or better yet going home, but she had become complacent in her position for now deciding a better chance would come. With an iron grip Solomon took control of  the army. He saw the value in Athenadra and knew the sacrifice she made to bow to him. He allowed her to keep her position hoping it would quell any thought of murdering him in his sleep.

Conquest after conquest has led the giants to the Island of Scales. This is where Athenadra remains, among a dying Empire, her chance long passed as the time is coming to crown the next monarch of the Mountain Splitter royalty.
