Traits

Void Sight. Magical darkness doesn't impede the devil's darkvison.

Mimicry. The raven can mimic simple sounds it has heard, such as whispers, cries, or animal noises. A DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check reveals the imitation.

Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the raven has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Necrotic Recovery. Whenever the raven takes necrotic damage it regains hit points equal to the damage dealt.

Actions

Multiattack. The Abyss Raven can make three attacks: one beak and two claw attacks.

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 14 (3d8 + 4) magical piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.

Paralyzing Gaze. Recharge (2 turns): The Raven turns it's gaze onto a creature within it's line of slight and the creature must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the start of each of it's turns.

Bonus Actions

Shadow Step. While in dim light or darkness, the Abyss raven can teleport up 60ft to another area with the same conditions as a bonus action.

Description

The Abyss Ravens are fragments of the Void King’s corrupted will that sloughed off when the Void Monster’s influence began poisoning his divine intention, falling into the Abyss and reforming as winged, semi-sentient echoes rather than true animals; each Raven exists simultaneously as flesh, shadow, and conceptual core, making them functionally immortal, reforming in the Abyss when destroyed, and acting as extensions of the Void King’s perception, recording suffering, collapse, and moral erosion across reality, not to cause random destruction but to subtly cultivate despair, temptation, and instability through whispers, dreams, and unseen nudges, cataloging how civilizations fall and souls break, feeding that knowledge back into the Void King, who unknowingly compiles a perfect blueprint of universal collapse—so while mortals see Abyss Ravens as omens or monsters, in truth they are living symptoms of a cosmic rot already embedded in existence, proof that as long as even one Raven flies, the universe is quietly, inevitably dying.
