Special Equipment.  Laeral uses the following equipment

Special Enchantments. Laeral has imbued herself with the permanent effect of ring of fire resistance

Innate Spellcasting. As a child of Mystra and one of her chosen, Laeral has the ability to innately cast 1 spell of each level once per day without using a spell slot. Her innate spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save 25, +17 to hit with spell attacks). She can innately cast the following spells without components:
1/day each: expeditious retreat, invisibility, gaseous form, arcane eye, creation, globe of invulnerability, symbol, mind blank, foresight

Limited Spell Immunity. As a child of Mystra and one of her chosen, Laeral is immune to one spell of each level of her choice. She is immune to:
witch bolt, blindness/deafness, fireball, charm monster, dominate person, chain lightning, finger of death, feeblemind, psychic scream

Chosen of Mystra. As a chosen Mystra, Laeral has the following benefits

  • She can detect magic at will within 90 feet or line of sight range.
  • She is immune to aging, disease, disintegration, and poison. She have no need to sleep (although she must rest normally in order to be able to prepare spells).
  • She has a +5 to all her saving throws
  • She is under the permanent effect of regenerate
  • Whenever her name, nickname, or one of her titles is spoken she can hear the next nine words that are said by the whomever said it.

Magic Resistance. While wearing her robe of the archmagi, Laeral has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Favored Enemy. Laeral's favored enemies are humanoids and monstrosities. She has advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track her favored enemies, as well as on Intelligence checks to recall information about them.

Hunter. Once on each of Laeral's turns, when she targets a creature with a weapon attack she can make an extra weapon attack with the same weapon against a different creature that is within 5 feet of the original target and within range of your weapon. Additionally any creature that makes a weapon attack against her has disadvantage on any subsequent attacks against her.

Magic Mastery (7 per long or short rest). Laeral can cast a spell from any spell list even when she does not have it prepared a number of times equal to her intelligence modifier

Spell Alteration (8 per long or short rest). Laeral can alter her spells as she casts them. When she casts a spell that deals acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, radiant, or thunder damage, she can substitute that damage type with one other type from that list. Additionally she can change the saving throws of any of her spell. For example changing lightning bolt from Dexterity to Intelligence.

Transmutation Mastery. Laeral can create a transmutation stone with three of the following benefits. She can alter the benefits whenever she casts a spell from the Transmutation school of magic.

  • Darkvision out to a range of 150 feet
  • An increase to speed of 20 feet while the creature is unencumbered
  • Proficiency in Strength, Dexterity, or Wisdom saving throws
  • Resistance to acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, psychic, necrotic, radiant or thunder damage

War Caster. Laeral has practiced casting spells in the midst of combat, learning techniques that grant her the following benefits:

  • She has advantage on Constitution saving throws that she makes to maintain her concentration on a spell when she takes damage.
  • She can perform the somatic components of spells even when she has weapons or a shield in one or both hands.
  • When a hostile creature's movement provokes an opportunity attack from she, she can use her reaction to cast a spell at the creature, rather than making an opportunity attack. The spell must have a casting time of 1 action and must target only that creature.

Prepared Unique Spells. The Seven Sisters have created a number of spells that are almost exclusively used by each other or themselves. These are the Unique Spells that Laeral also has prepared along with her usual.

9th Level Spell: Laeral's Crowning Touch

  • Casting Time: 1 Action
  • Range: Touch
  • Components: V, S
  • Duration: 366 days
  • Saving Throw: N/A
  • Spell Description: The caster targets an individual who uses magic from the weave like wizards, sorcerers, bards, and warlocks. This spell cannot affect anyone whose magic comes from a divine source like clerics, paladins, and druids. When this spell is cast, the target comes under the effect of a curse that only they and the caster are initially aware of. Mystra's symbol appears drawn in silver on each palm (or on the chest and forehead of beings lacking palms) as a glowing brand. Even after the spell expires, one mark remains forever. Whenever the creature casts a spell, they instantly lose one full level of experience per spell level of the magic used. They retain unused spell slots but lose them once cast if they are now beyond the creature's casting level. Streaks of silver appear in the hair of the curse's victims. With each spell used, more silver appears. When a transgressor's hair is all silver, it falls out. In addition, victims' hands become gnarled, and sores form on their vocal cords, making vocalization of spells more difficult and singing impossible. After the spell expires, all of these side-effects vanish, and normal spell use returns. However, levels lost are gone for good, and must be regained through the normal accumulation of experience. If this spell drops the caster to level 0, they lose their magic forever. If this spell is cast on a lich then the lich can make a Constitution saving throw against this curse at disadvantage. If the Lich fails they take 1d8 of force damage for every level of spell they cast instead of losing experience levels. If a Lich drops to 0 hit points this way, it along with its phylactery, are destroyed. This spell can only be cast against people that Mystra marks as having abused their magic and the weave. Otherwise the spell will fail. Only Chosen of Mystra can use this spell.

5th Level Spell: Laeral's Disrobement

  • Casting Time: 1 Action
  • Range: Special
  • Components: V, S, M (1000 gp worth of diamond dust)
  • Duration: 10 days
  • Saving Throw: Special
  • Spell Description: The caster targets a wearable non magical item of their choice and turns it into a spell storing item. The spell cannot be cast on an item that is already imbued with the enchantment. A spell can then be stored in the item within 1 minute of the Disrobement being cast by the spell caster or another creature the spell caster views as an ally. The second spell consumes the necessary spell slot, Verbal, Somatic, and Material components. The second spell then acts as a trap spell and can only be triggered if someone forcefully tears or removes the warn item against the wearer's wishes. The wearer has full control over the spell even if they lack the ability to cast spells and can choose the effects as normally stated in the spell description.
Actions

Multiattack. Laeral makes four attacks with her spellcasting and flame tongue longsword, in any combination but with only one leveled spell. She can cast one of her cantrips or a level 4 or lower before or after making these attacks.

Flame Tongue Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d10 + 4) slashing damage plus 13 (2d12) force damage plus 7 (2d6) fire damage

Silver Fire (Once per long or short rest). Laeral can manifest a beautiful silver-white flame that surrounds you and fills the area into which it is projected to various effects. All effects function as if cast by a 20th-level spellcaster and remain till she's incapacitated.

  • She can breathe underwater.
  • She can survive without food and water.
  • She is immune to magic that would ascertain her thoughts, truthfulness, alignment, or creature type.
  • She has resistance to cold damage, and she is unharmed by temperatures as low as −50 degrees Fahrenheit.

She can take the following additional actions

  • She can detect magic at will within 90 feet or line of sight range.
  • Cast the cure wounds spell. The target regains 1d8 + 5 hit points. After Laeral takes this action, roll a d6. On a roll of 1, the silver fire disappears.
  • Cast the revivify spell without material components. After Laeral takes this action, roll a d6. On a roll of 1–2, the silver fire disappears.
  • Release a 60-foot line of silver fire that is 5 feet wide or a 70-foot cone of silver fire. Objects in the area that aren’t being worn or carried take 52 (8d12). Each creature in the area must succeed on a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw, taking 52 (8d12) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Alternately, she may unleash the silver fire in a 70-foot cone, dealing no damage but permanently restoring dead magic zones within the cone to normal and dispelling any antimagic field effects that contact the cone. This cone effect is draining on the Weave, and Mystra discourages its use except for emergencies. All effects function as if cast by a 20th-level spellcaster. After Laeral takes this action, roll a d6. On a roll of 1–2, the silver fire disappears.
Bonus Actions

Illusory Reality. Laeral can use her bonus action to turn one of her illusion spells into reality for up to 10 minutes. The object is incapable to causing harm and can't deal damage.

Magic Item Disruption. Laeral has the ability to disrupt magic items and detect their function. When Laeral comes into contact with a magic item, even if for a brief moment or when used against her, she gains the ability to disrupt the item. She can choose to render them completely functionless, or cause the magic within them to fly out of control. If she renders them out of control then for the next 4 rounds when the item is used, roll the Wild Magic Table twice and Laeral gets to choose the effect. When within 90 feet of a magic item she can use her bonus action to attempt determine the function of a magic item, including all abilities, current number of charges, and spells. She must succeed a dc 5 per rarity of the item arcana check. If she comes into contact with the magic item she has advantage on the role. If she handles the magic item for more than 4 rounds then she does not need to role.

Prodigy. Laeral can change out her prepared spells as a bonus action at will

Reactions

Illusory Self. Laeral can create an Illusion of herself as a reaction when targeted with and attack roll and force the attack to automatically miss.
