Corrosive. Any nonmagical weapon that hits the acid elemental corrodes. After dealing damage, the weapon takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to damage rolls. If this penalty drops to -5, the weapon is destroyed. Nonmagical ammunition that hits the elemental is destroyed after dealing damage.
In addition, any nonmagical armor or shield worn or carried by a creature who begins their turn in the elemental creatures space takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to the AC it offers. Armor reduced to an AC of 10 or a shield that drops to +0 bonus is destroyed.
Decay Flesh. If the acid elemental reduces a creature to 0 hit points, the target is disintegrated (as per the spell).
Liquid Form. The elemental can enter a hostile creature's space and stop there. It can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Tunneler. The acid elemental can burrow through any nonmagical material except for lead at half its burrowing speed. It leaves a tunnel no larger than 8 feet and no smaller than 1 inch across.
Multiattack. The elemental makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8+3) acid damage.
Acid Rain (Recharge 4-6). Each creature within 15 feet of the elemental must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (1d8+3) acid damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. In addition, any nonmagical armor or shield worn or carried by a creature who failed their saving throw takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to the AC it offers. Armor reduced to an AC of 10 or a shield that drops to a +0 bonus is destroyed.
Description
Elementals are incarnations of the elements that make up the universe. Though little more than animated energy on their own planes of existence, they can be called on by spell casters and powerful beings to take shape and perform tasks.
Acid Elemental. An acid elemental has no true shape but can manifest in many amorphous forms, from a rushing river to a sizzling pool to a sloshing globule. It engulfs creatures that stand against it and dissolves them into nothingness. Their corrosive forms allow them to burrow through both stone and steel.
Acid elementals are native to neither the Plane of Water nor Earth, but instead the space between. The Swamp of Oblivion also known as the Plane of Ooze, seethes with acid in its stagnant lakes and ponds.
