Fuelled by the sacrifice of Lord Briarheart, her fervent desire to change the world and her unshakable faith, the Cleric Andava has ascended to Archlichdom.  A master of life of death, her surrounding aura pulsates with necromantic energy.

Lair and Lair Actions

Andava has found a long-abandoned dark Cathedral as her base for her twisted experiments as she pushes the boundary between life and death.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Andava The Ascended takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Andava The Ascended can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

Many a lost soul are drawn to Andava’s divine power, her new power allows them to exploit the potent necromantic energy these souls possess to their fullest, a construct called the Aegis of Souls.

The Aegis of Souls starts with 15 Soul Counters.  One soul is added for each undead summon destroyed as the lingering energy is added.  Andava may expend Soul Counters to fuel her magic in the following ways:

  • Soul Knitting - Restore 40HP (2 tokens)
  • Pendulum of the Underworld - Empower the aura created by Aura Pulse by 1d8 (5 tokens, to a maximum of 3 times per encounter)
  • Eye of Betrayal – Designate a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. At the end of each of the target's turns, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success.  (5 tokens)
