Description
A terrifying creature described as "like a wolf, yet not a wolf" with monsterous proportions twice that of a cow has been stalking the lands around the village of Gabli in the Kingdom of Courth for decades. It is thought to be an opportunistic and indescriminate killer with little regard for the creature type or race that it targets. Yet, observant survivors note the creatures keen sense of its surroundings, stealthy tactics and intelligent eyes that set it apart from natural preditors.
The creature is reported to hunt primarily lone persons and livestock. It seems to fly or leap over fields and gullies when attacking its victims. The survivors of hunting parties sent to track down and destroy the creature have returned with stories about the ferocity of the Beast and the ineffective results of their spears, swords, axes and arrows against it.
The Beast is a huge monstrosity bearing vicious teeth and claws with a tawny/russet color hide, dark streaks down its sides and a darker stripe down its back and the full length of its tail "longer than a wolf's" ending in a tuft.
