Arcana Link. The artificer can concentrate on as many spell effects as it has bound constructs to focus the spell for them. The construct must succeed on concentration checks to maintain the spell effect each time it takes damage. As long as the artificer can see it, they can cast spells through the bound construct.
Spell Core. The artificer can store one spell that it can cast into a bound construct. To do so, the artificer casts the spell on the construct, which has no effect and is stored within it.
When commanded to do so, or a predefined situation arises, the construct can cast the spell stored. When the spell is cast or a new spell is stored, the previous spell is lost.
Spellcasting. Artifice is a 6th-level artificer spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). The mage has the following spells prepared:
At will: mending, light, shocking grasp
3/day each: absorb elements, shield
2/day each: dispel magic, faerie fire
1/day each: haste, wall of force
Counterdefense. Whenever the artificer takes damage, it can use its reaction to command its construct to make a single weapon attack. If any particular type of elemental damage was absorbed prior, it is released with this reaction.
Description
Artifice was once a halfling artificer prodigy, like her mom. Unfortunately, House Selemchant coveted the family's prowess with artifice and tried to acquire it by force, after several devious tricks failed. Her parents were slain defending her and her brother, Robert. She was broken, first, then trained in all that the Cowled Wizards desired: magic, defense, power without scruples. The final phase of her training was a transformation into a living statue, bound to several constructs which carried out the Wizard's defense plan of the Palace of Justice. No one knew of the living girl and the defenses' beating heart. But she had family left. She had hope.
