Angelic Weapons. The archon's weapon attacks are magical. When the archon hits with any weapon, the weapon deals an extra 2d8 radiant damage (included in the attack).
Innate Spellcasting. The archon's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
- At will: detect evil and good, detect magic
- 3/day each: cure wounds, lesser restoration, plane shift (self only)
- 1/day each: heal, dispel evil and good
Magic Resistance. The archon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack. The archon makes three melee attacks: one with its celestial spear and two with its fists.

Celestial Spear of Righteousness Weapon (Spear), Legendary (Requires Attunement by a Good-aligned creature)
The Celestial Spear of Righteousness shines with a brilliant, holy light that banishes darkness and strikes fear into creatures of evil. It is a symbol of divine justice and the eternal struggle against malevolent forces and embodies the ideals of justice and righteousness, blessed by celestial powers to smite evil and protect the innocent.
- Melee Damage: +8 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) radiant damage.
- Range: +4 to hit, range 120 ft, one target. Hit 8(1d10+2) piercing damage plus 9(2d8) radiant damage. The Archon can mentally recall the spear via teleportation.
- Heavenly Radiance: When the spear hits a fiend or undead creature it deals an additional 2d8 radiant damage.
- Celestial Smite: As an action, the Archon can use Channel Divinity to make a special attack with this spear. If the attack hits, it deals an additional 4d8 radiant damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be blinded by the spear's radiant light until the end of your next turn.
- Holy Beacon: While holding this spear, the Archon has advantage on saving throws against spells and effects from fiends and undead creatures.
- Divine Empowerment: Once per long rest, it can utter a prayer to imbue the spear with divine energy. Until the end of the next turn, the attacks with the Celestial Spear of Righteousness deal maximum damage.
Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the archon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Mindful Grasp: The Archon exerts its divine authority over a creature within 30 feet as a bonus action. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against the Archon's spell save DC or be magically restrained by ethereal chains for 1 round. While restrained in this way, the target's speed becomes 0, it can't benefit from any bonuses to its speed, and attacks against it have advantage. At the end of each of its turns, the restrained target can make another Wisdom saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
This ability showcases the Archon's ability to assert mental control over its enemies, restraining them physically through divine will. It adds a layer of tactical control to the Archon's combat repertoire, allowing it to incapacitate a foe temporarily and shift the battlefield dynamics in its favor.
Celestial Resilience: When the Archon is hit by an attack that would reduce it to 0 hit points, it can use its reaction to call upon its celestial resilience. The Archon gains temporary hit points equal to its 1/2 its maximum hit points, and it becomes immune to all damage until the start of its next turn. This ability can only be used once per long rest.
This reaction represents the Archon's innate celestial nature, allowing it to endure tremendous blows and briefly become impervious to harm, giving it a chance to rally or finish off foes before succumbing to defeat.
Legendary Action: Temporal Pause
The Archon harnesses its celestial power to momentarily pause time around a single creature within 60 feet of it, as if freezing them in stasis. The targeted creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 18) or become suspended in time for 1 round. While time is paused for the creature, it is unable to take any actions, reactions, or move. Additionally, the creature is incapacitated and can't perceive anything happening around it.
Negative Temporary Effect: After using this legendary action, the Archon experiences a temporal backlash, causing it to become disoriented. Until the start of its next turn, the Archon's movement speed is halved, and it has disadvantage on attack rolls and Dexterity saving throws as it readjusts to the temporal strain caused by manipulating time. This represents the difficulty of controlling such powerful temporal magic and the toll it takes on the Archon's concentration and focus.
Mythical Action: Radiant Purge
As a mythical action, the Archon unleashes a burst of divine energy, purging darkness and evil from its surroundings. This mythical action adds a dramatic and impactful ability to the Archon's arsenal, fitting for its status as a celestial being of great power and righteousness.
- Description: The Archon raises its celestial spear high, channeling radiant power that erupts in a 30-foot radius centered on itself.
- Effect: Each hostile creature within the radius must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 18) or suffer radiant damage and be blinded for 1 minute. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn't blinded.
- Damage: 6d10 radiant damage (or adjust as needed for desired power level).
- Negative Effect: After using Radiant Purge, the Archon's radiant energy temporarily wanes, causing its AC to decrease by 2 until the start of its next turn. This decrease represents the exertion required to unleash such a potent burst of divine power.
