Traits

Innate Spellcasting. Silvertusk's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: darkness, invisibility

1/day each: charm person, cone of cold, gaseous form, sleep

Regeneration. Silvertusk regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn if he has at least 1 hit point. If he has consumed Gorgon-Milk Cream within the last ten minutes, he regains double this mount instead.

Actions

Multiattack. Silvertusk makes two attacks, either two Rabbit Punch attacks or a combination of different attacks selected from among Rabbit Punch, Oni Eyes Drop, High Knee, and Diving Double Glaive-Haft Strike.

Rabbit Punch. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (1d4 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

Oni Eyes Drop. Silvertusk grabs a creature within 10 ft., picks it up, and smashes it down again into another object or creature. This maneuver can be avoided with a creature's reaction via a DC 15 Dexterity (Acrobatics) or Strength (Athletics) check. Creatures larger than Silvertusk's current size have advantage on their saving throw. Upon impact, the creatures and/or objects each take 9 (1d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the grabbed creature is prone. The grab is broken as part of this attack. The grabbed creature can be dropped into a space as close as 5 ft. or as far as 15 ft. away from Silvertusk. Objects do not have resistance to this attack's damage.

High Knee. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Double Diving Glaive-Haft Strike. Silvertusk must be above the target or the target must be prone. He mimes holding the handle of a weapon and smashes down as he jumps at the target, clubbing the target with both fists. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) bludgeoning damage, and if the target is not already prone, it must choose whether to be pushed back 10 ft. or fall prone.

Change Shape. Silvertusk magically polymorphs into a Small or Medium humanoid, into a Large giant, or back into his true form. Other than his size, his statistics are the same in each form. If he dies, he reverts to his true form. When he changes size, he can make an escape attempt with advantage to free himself from a grapple. If he gets smaller, he uses Acrobatics for this attempt; if he gets larger, he uses Athletics.

Bonus Actions

Running Oni Elbow. Can only be used after moving at least 15 feet toward the target. This attack is made with advantage. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d4 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the target must succeed at a DC 8 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.

Reactions

Back Elbow. As a creature that he is aware of comes adjacent to Bronzetusk (whether of its own volition or via forced movement, but not via teleportation) he lashes out backwards. This attack is made with disadvantage. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the target must succeed at a DC 8 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.

Description

The precise origins of Silvertusk, and his brother Bronzetusk, are obscure. Bronzetusk leads an elite mercenary unit of erudite ogres working for House Ressen in Tanthis, and is said to have spies everywhere in that city. While Bronzetusk maintains the facade of being simply a very intelligent ogre, Silvertusk lets his Oni flag fly, showing off his larger-than-average horns, bright blue skin, and bulging eyes. Bronzetusk does not appreciate this due to its effect on his subtle disguise, but it's too late to change his own name, and Silvertusk refuses to do so as well. Silvertusk is not subtle; he never lies, he is open about his intentions, and he prefers not to use weapons. Only his fists, his knees, and (in a pinch) his head and feet. He never bites, and he never gores anyone with his horns; "These look good! I got a guy who polishes my tusks for an hour a day! I'd never dull their shine with your blood!"

Silvertusk has been participating in the Acromion Brawl when it comes around every third year since its inception 21 years ago, and battled all comers in the Acromion arenas before that. He's been arena fighting for at least fifty years and shows no sign of slowing down-- or aging. He attributes his longevity, and vigorous aliveness, to regular consumption of Gorgon-Milk Cream, a secret recipe known only to him, his brother, and perhaps other members of their unknown far-flung Oni clan. Silvertusk keeps a pen of six gorgons at his home in Crescendo (technically just outside the city limits, but well within sight of the great Watchlight tower

Silvertusk lives in a nice, Large-scaled two-story stone house tucked away on the western outskirts of the walled Acromion estate, well past the great arena, closer to the city's butcher yards than anything else; the smell doesn't bother him, and the staff is discouraged from complaining. His various Servants are mostly halflings and a few gnomes, which allows them all to sleep on bunk beds in the same small room (more of a closet for the Oni) at the back of the house. Their contracts technically belong to Lord Mark Acromion, but the high lord has graciously lent their services indefinitely to one of his main money-makers. He charms them regularly, in order to help persuade them that he's a good boss; he is convinced this makes him wise and compassionate. And perhaps, compared to most Oni, it does.

Silvertusk doesn't take any of his gorgons on the road, but he never forgets to bring his cream, and will often drink a huge mug of it while hyping up a crowd and making appropriate puns.

Given his druthers, Silvertusk will slowly wear an opponent down in the ring, saving his most damaging attacks for the end of the match, and playing to the audience at all times. He his shapechanging ability to grow or shrink out of opponent's grapples or to get through obstacles and reach weapons in rings that have them-- or just to show off.

He uses his innate power of magical flight sparingly, and only to supplement his limited Acrobatics skill-- to the untrained observer, he appears to be able to jump 30 feet into the air, or leap from one rope or narrow ledge to another without ever losing his balance. He'll also use this to get positioning on an enemy who's proving difficult to knock prone before dropping on them to deliver his famous Double Diving Glaive-Haft Strike.

He uses his gaseous form innate spell as a special finisher after he's already won the match, whispering to a defeated but still-conscious enemy to "go along with this or I'll make your loss much worse." Those who agree to receive the spell get "exploded" into mist with suitable special effects, then literally blown away to reconstitute themselves out of sight of the crowd. The regulars in the audience know it's all just a show and that the other fighter will be back for their next match, but newcomers are often surprised, and those who are clued in try to keep it secret to enhance that first-time reaction.

Silvertusk taught Hroom the Ogre (who Silvan Stormpoacher boxed in the Drake's Lance bar) in Tanthis how to fight with his hands, but Hroom wasn't interested in the fancier moves. Silvertusk used to own a magical glaive (part of a matching set with his brother's weapon), but he lost it gambling years ago and neither knows nor cares where it is now.

When Silvertusk and Bronzetusk are in the same place, which is rare, Silvertusk always go out of his way to address his brother as "Brother," to the point of ending every other sentence that way, further tweaking the spymaster's nose about their all-too-public relationship. "I see you're still wearing a mask, Brother! It's too bad! You should join me in the ring, Brother! You'll make more money and have a lot more fun! Hey, don't walk away from me, Brother! I'm talkin' to youuuuu!"
