Description

People theorize that the reason Nock continues to stand is not because of its impenetrable walls, but because Bellamus, the Raven Queen, defends them. Bellmen are the holy warriors of Bellamus, and execute her bidding. They do not answer to the Shamans, and are often at odds with them. One could easily eliminate the other if they surprised them, but both sides remain peaceful for the betterment of the citizens. The Bellmen also have no interest in ruling the people. The majority of Bellmen serve in the Cathedral, praying and learning from Bellamus, but the greatest warriors amongst them lead scout teams north of the wall. Since this practice has begun, every mission north has been reasonably successful. They would send entire groups of Bellmen north if there were more of them, but they are the smallest faction of the Black Ravens. Unlike the Shamans and Scouts, they don’t have a ranking system. All Bellmen are equal, and serve Bellamus under the guidance of the Elder, the head priest of the Bellmen. Bellmen warriors wear black metal armor, with a golden raven in the center. Each member is also given a weapon from the holy vault when they earn it. They are the only members of the city of Nock who wield magic weapons. They also practice magic freely inside the city, but only to do good. If they are seen using their magic for selfish purposes they will be put on trial, and if found guilty, removed from the church.
