False Appearance. While the Archerri remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary fruit.

Ingestion. Any creature that eats an Archerri must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be affected by the Modify Memory spell. The Archerri can define the memory that is implanted in the creature. Typically the creature will have their immediate memory be that of the Archerri being the most delicious food they have ever eaten.  They will also encourage all other non-hostile creatures to eat Archerri at the next possible opportunity.

Host Propagation. A creature that consumes an Archerri has additional Archerri start to develop inside of their body after a long rest.  Small knots will start to appear on the appendages of the host of the Archerri at the end of a long rest, the affected creature is considered Cursed, while cursed the creature is considered charmed by the Archerri.  After a second long rest, round pustules will emerge from the Archerri Host's body, leaving behind new Archerri's which they will seek out new non-hostile creatures to feed them to.

Description

These are the evolved offspring of an ancient spore like creature, they propagate by convincing a host to consume them.  Once the host is no longer useful, or too frail, they seek out a body of water to naturally dissolve.   When this occurs, the local area will experience a "red rain" for the spores to spread even further.   If someone ever questions or contradicts the Archerri's narrative or goals, they can manually trigger the "fight" response of the current host.

As an uneaten Archerri starts to age and rot outside of a host body, they will also make their way to the closest water source to dissolve into, sprouting mycelium it uses for limited mobility.
