Traits

Keen Smell. The troll has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Regeneration. The troll regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the troll takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the troll's next turn. The troll dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.

Tortured Mind. The constant pain suffered by a bladerager troll has warped its mind. Anyone making mental contact with the creature (such as with telepathy) takes 10 (3d6) points of psychic damage.

Death Throes. When the bladerager troll dies, it explodes and each creature within 30 feet of it must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 17 (5d6) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Lightning Node. When the bladerager takes lightning damage, it deals that much damage to each creature within 10 feet. Can just nuke other trolls.

Actions

Multiattack. The troll makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit:  13 (2d6 + 6) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Lightning Harpoon (Recharge 6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 50 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage, + 1d10 lightning damage. If the target is a Huge or smaller creature, it must succeed on a Strength contest against the merrow or be pulled up to 20 feet toward the bladerager.

Lightning Claw Blades (one hooked, one serrated). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6+6) slashing damage) slashing damage + 1d10 lightning damage. If a bladerager troll hits the same target with two claw attacks in the same round, the electricity runs through them and it shocks its victim’s flesh horribly, dealing an extra 14 (4d6) electricity damage.

Description

Fearsome green-skinned giants, trolls eat anything they can catch and devour. Only acid and fire can arrest the regenerative properties of a troll’s flesh.
