Traits

Air Form. The elemental can enter a hostile creature's space and stop there. It can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.

  1. Hit Points: Upon transformation, gain temporary hit points equal to half your maximum hit points.
  2. Flight: Gain a flying speed of 30 feet.

Air Mastery: You have advantage on saving throws against effects that would knock you prone and you can't be grappled or restrained.

Actions

Transformation Charges: 1 Charge

  1. Recharge Mechanism: The charge replenishes after 3 days or can be regained through a significant ritual that involves the capture of essence from powerful windstorms or spirits at high altitudes, performed during a clear, starry night.

Transformation Duration: Up to 10 minutes

  1. Usage Limit: Once per charge
  2. Ability Check (if any): Once the charge is available, the player must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution check to harness the wild essence of air. This DC decreases by 1 every two levels as the player becomes more attuned to their elemental power.

Features of the Air Elemental Form:

  1. Multiattack. The elemental makes two slam attacks.
  2. Gale Blast: Once per transformation, you can unleash a powerful blast of wind in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in the line must make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC, taking [roll]3d8[/roll] bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one, and be pushed 10 feet away.

Elemental Form Progression:

  • Level 10: Gain an additional charge. Recharge time decreases to 1 day.
  • Level 14: Flight speed increases to 80 feet. Gale Blast damage increases to 4d8, and push distance increases to 15 feet.
  • Level 18: Can now use Gale Blast twice per transformation. Whirlwind Cloak can be activated twice per long rest.
Reactions

Whirlwind Cloak: Once per long rest, while transformed, you can create a veil of swirling wind around you as a reaction when you are hit by an attack, granting you half cover until the start of your next turn.

Description

An air elemental is a funneling cloud of whirling air with a vague semblance of a face. It can turn itself into a screaming cyclone, creating a whirlwind that batters creatures even as it flings them away.
