Traits

Parasitic Infusion. The host is infused with a parasitic entity, granting it a vine-like appendage that can be used to make attacks. The vine has a reach of 15 feet.

Actions

Multiattack. The host makes two attacks: one with its Mycelium Whip and one with its fists or two with its Mycelium Whip.

Mycelium Whip. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 15 ft., one creature. Hit: 18 (2d12 + 5) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it is grappled (escape DC 16). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the host can't use its mycelium whip on another target.

Fists. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 15 ft., one creature. Hit: 2 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

Bonus Actions

Parasitic Transfer (Recharge 5-6). If the host is grappling a creature, the host can use a bonus action to attempt to transfer the parasite into the grappled creature. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or become infected with the parasite.

Description

These are the evolved offspring of an ancient spore like creature, they propagate by convincing a host to consume them.  Once the host is no longer useful, or too frail, they seek out a body of water to naturally dissolve.   When this occurs, the local area will experience a "red rain" for the spores to spread even further.   If someone ever questions or contradicts the Archerri's narrative or goals, they can manually trigger the "fight" response of the current host. An Archerri host will attempt to cover their arms and legs on a day to day basis, as a response to make their wounds from the Archerri less apparent.

An Archerri Host will seek to silence any hostility towards the propagation of of the Archerri, this can be by the method of the consumption of the Archerri or the old fashioned way.  As the Host becomes hostile mycelium will start to poor out of their pores and from under their skin and any preexisting wounds, the mycelium will both attempt to defend and act as a weapon for the Host to use.
