Innate Spellcasting. The Deathrite Shaman's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 14). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
- At will: Druidcraft
- 1/day each: Entangle, Cure Wounds, Ray of Sickness
Multiattack. The Deathrite Shaman makes three attacks: using any combination of Deathly Strike, Poisoned Dart, and/or Life Siphon.
Deathly Strike: Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) necrotic damage as the touch of death seeps into the target's veins.
Poisoned Dart. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage rounded down on a successful one.
Life Siphon. The shaman can touch a corpse or remains within 5 feet and draw out its life-force. The shaman regains hit points equal to 2d8 + its Wisdom modifier.
Corrosive Bolt. The Deathrite Shaman launches a bolt of deathly corrosive energy in a 40-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) necrotic damage and 21 (6d6) acidic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Necrotic Reprisal. When a source the Deathrite Shaman is aware of deals damage to the shaman, it can use its reaction to force that source to make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the source takes 10 (3d6) necrotic damage. The Deathrite Shaman may not use this reaction again until they utilize their Grave Mana action.

Posted May 26, 2024Feedback is welcome. This is the first homebrew monster that I have made on this platform and I welcome feedback. If there is enough demand, I may continue creating stat blocks for other creatures based on the Ravnica setting.
