Description
A butterfly dragon is a dragon with butterfly wings. Is highly mischievous, but is loyal to it's bitter end. Loyalty can extend beyond one generation as well and be passed down for as many generations until forgotten. A butterfly Dragon also loves tricking Travelers in elvish, human, or fae form, their appearance depends on the travelers and what would most likely entice them to listen and take part in their game or trap purely for their enjoyment or protection of something or someone. While these dragons are notorious for mischief they're skills in combat shouldn't be ignored
Invisible Tricksters. The only warning of a butterfly dragon’s presence is a stifled giggle, while in dragon form. The dragon stays out of sight, watching invisibly as its victims contend with its pranks. When its fun is done, the dragon might reveal itself, depending on the disposition of its “prey.” However, when in an alternate form (human, elf or fae) identification is difficult. But distinctions of wanting to play "games" that are more tricks than games, is a common way they are found.
Friendly and Bright. A butterfly dragon has a sharp mind, a fondness for treasure and good company, and a puckish sense of humor. Travelers can play to a faerie dragon’s draconic nature by offering it “treasure” in the form of sweets, baked goods, or anything that shimmers/glows/sparkles.
The Colors of Exposure. A butterfly dragon’s scales can change to what type of butterfly they have been most in contact with and the wings will begin to mimic them. All butterfly dragons have innate spellcasting ability, gaining new spells as they mature.

The banished target may attempt to escape by using its action to make a contested Charisma check.
