Blooming Rejuvenation (3/day): As a reaction when the dragon or an ally within 60 feet fails a saving throw, the dragon can call upon the power of spring to invigorate them. The affected creature can reroll the saving throw and must use the new roll. Additionally, a burst of flowers and vines erupts around the creature, granting them temporary hit points equal to 10 + the dragon’s Constitution modifier.
Verdant Aura: The Spring Dragon exudes an aura of life and growth. At the start of each of the dragon's turns the dragon regains 25 + the dragon's Charisma modifier, all creatures within 30 feet of the dragon regain hit points equal to 5 + the dragon's Charisma modifier if they have at least 1 hit point. Additionally, any plant life within this aura becomes magically enriched, causing difficult terrain made of plants to become normal terrain for the dragon and its allies. If attacked with fire or cold this effect is reduced to only the dragon and 15 + the dragon's Charisma modifier. If hit by both the effect does not trigger until the dragon's next turn.
Magic Resistance. The dragon have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack. The dragon can use its Nature's Awe. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon’s Nature's Awe for the next 24 hours.
Spring Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales a cone of pollen and floral essence in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 21 Constitution saving throw, taking 63 (18d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a failed save, a creature is also poisoned for 1 minute. While poisoned in this way, a creature is incapacitated as they sneeze uncontrollably and their vision blurs with tears.
Fey Step: As a bonus action, the Spring Dragon can magically teleport, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. Before or after teleporting, the dragon can cause a 10-foot-radius area of ground within 5 feet of its destination to become difficult terrain for 1 minute, as flowers and vines spring up from the earth.
Floral Shield (Recharge 5-6): The dragon can envelop itself in a whirlwind of petals and leaves, forming a protective barrier. For 1 minute, the dragon gains a +2 bonus to AC and an advantage on Dexterity saving throws. Description
The Spring Dragon is a majestic embodiment of the season of renewal. Its scales are a vibrant green, interspersed with patches of blooming flowers and creeping vines that seem to grow directly from its body. The dragon's eyes sparkle like dewdrops, radiating a serene yet powerful aura. Its wings are delicate and iridescent, reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, shimmering with a spectrum of springtime colours. When the dragon takes to the sky, its wings create a mesmerizing display of shifting hues, casting a prismatic glow over the land below. The edges of its wings are adorned with intricate patterns that mimic the petals of the most beautiful flowers, enhancing its ethereal appearance. When the dragon moves, the air around it is filled with the scent of fresh blossoms and the sound of birdsong. Its presence alone causes the landscape to burst into bloom, with flowers sprouting from the ground in its wake.
Emerald Blossom(egg)
Appearance and Transformation:
- Colour and Texture: The egg appears as a large, closed flower bud with a rich emerald green exterior. The petals are thick and waxy, with intricate vein patterns that shimmer slightly, giving a hint of the magic within.
- Growth Stages: As the dragon within matures, the bud gradually changes color, transitioning from deep green to vibrant hues of pink, purple, or gold, indicating the nearing of hatching.
- Opening: When the time comes, the petals slowly unfurl over several hours, revealing the baby dragon nestled inside. This process is accompanied by a gentle, glowing light and the release of a sweet, floral fragrance that fills the surrounding area.
Magical Properties:
- Protective Aura: The egg emits a soothing aura that encourages growth and healing. Plants within a 30-foot radius of the egg grow more lush and healthy, and creatures that rest near the egg gain the benefits of a long rest in half the usual time.
- Weather Influence: The presence of the egg subtly affects the weather, ensuring mild and pleasant spring-like conditions in the immediate area, regardless of the actual season.
- Guardians: Small fey creatures, such as sprites or dryads, may be naturally drawn to the egg and take on the role of guardians, protecting it from harm and aiding in its care. (some of the locals think they have seen pixies around it when nobody is around)
Special Abilities:
- Pollination: The egg has a unique relationship with the local flora. Bees and butterflies are particularly attracted to it, aiding in the pollination of plants within its vicinity, thus fostering a thriving ecosystem.
- Healing Petals: The petals of the egg possess minor healing properties. If carefully harvested (without harming the egg), they can be used to create potions or poultices that provide healing or boost vitality.
Environmental Impact:
- Floral Explosion: Upon hatching, the energy released from the egg causes a sudden, dramatic blooming of flowers and plants in the immediate area, symbolizing the dragon’s birth and reinforcing the theme of renewal.
- Life Resonance: The presence of the egg harmonizes the local ecosystem, creating a balanced and thriving environment where flora and fauna coexist in perfect harmony.
Lair and Lair Actions
Spring Dragon’s Lair
Lair Description: Spring Dragons lair in verdant, enchanted groves or secluded forest glades, often at the heart of ancient woodlands imbued with fey magic. These lairs are rich with vibrant plant life, from towering trees draped in flowering vines to clear, babbling brooks that meander through carpets of wildflowers. The air is filled with the songs of birds and the gentle hum of bees, and shafts of sunlight pierce through the canopy, illuminating the dragon's domain with a warm, golden light.
The lair itself is a network of natural caves and tunnels intertwined with roots and overgrown with moss. These passages lead to the dragon's hoard chamber, a breathtaking cavern where the walls are adorned with glowing crystals and bioluminescent fungi. Here, the dragon sleeps upon a bed of soft grass and petals, surrounded by its treasures.
Lair Actions: On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Spring Dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
-
Vine Snare: Vines erupt from the ground at a point on the ground the dragon can see within 120 feet of it, creating a 20-foot-high, 5-foot-radius thicket. Each creature in the thicket's area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 21 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A creature that fails the save is also restrained by the vines until the start of its next turn.
-
Blossom Burst: A burst of pollen and petals fills a 60-foot radius around the dragon. Each creature other than the dragon in that area must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn.
-
Enchanted Bloom: The dragon chooses a point on the ground it can see within 120 feet. Magical flowers sprout in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point. Each creature of the dragon’s choice in that area must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by the dragon until initiative count 20 on the next round.
Regional Effects: The region containing a legendary Spring Dragon’s lair is warped by the dragon’s magic, which creates one or more of the following effects:
-
Lush Growth: Within 6 miles of the dragon’s lair, the land is in a perpetual state of spring. Plants grow rapidly and abundantly, animals are more active, and the weather is mild and pleasant.
-
Enchanting Fragrance: The air within 1 mile of the lair is filled with a delightful floral scent that can have a calming effect. Any creature that completes a long rest within this area gains temporary hit points equal to 5 + the dragon’s Charisma modifier.
-
Fey Crossings: Glades and groves within 1 mile of the dragon’s lair form temporary portals to the Feywild, allowing fey creatures to enter the world and dwell nearby. These portals appear and disappear unpredictably, often leading to encounters with fey creatures.
If the dragon dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d10 days.
