Lair and Lair Actions
Lair Actions
When fighting inside her lair, the Biwabokuboku can invoke the ambient magic to take lair actions. On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Biwabokuboku takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; she can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

-
Ghostly Visions: Illusory phantoms dance and play music in a 30-foot radius centered on a point the Biwabokuboku can see within 120 feet. All creatures within this area must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of their next turn.
-
Bewitching Harmony: The Biwabokuboku summons a wave of harmonious energy. All creatures of her choice within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 17 Charisma saving throw or be incapacitated until the end of their next turn as they are entranced by the music.
-
Resonant Echo: The Biwabokuboku can create a 10-foot-radius sphere of resonant sound centered on a point she can see within 120 feet. Each creature in that area must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Echoes of Emotion: Strong emotions, particularly sorrow and longing, are amplified within the region. Creatures may find themselves experiencing unusually intense feelings, and those who have recently suffered loss or heartbreak are particularly susceptible to the emotional echoes that permeate the area.
-
Misty Portals: Randomly appearing misty portals connect different parts of the region. These portals can transport creatures short distances, making travel within the area unpredictable. The Biwabokuboku can control these portals, using them to move quickly within her domain or to mislead intruders.
