Death Gaze. When a creature that can see the Blivdig’s eyes starts its turn within 30 feet of the Blivdig, the Blivdig can force it to make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw if the Blivdig isn’t incapacitated and can see the creature. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature is reduced to 0 hit points unless it is immune to the frightened condition. Otherwise, a creature takes 17 (3d10) psychic damage on a failed save.
Unless surprised, a creature can avert its eyes to avoid the saving throw at the start of its turn. If the creature does so, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against the Blivdig until the start of its next turn. If the creature looks at the Blivdig in the meantime, that creature must immediately make the saving throw.
Sunlight Hypersensitivity. The Blivdig takes 5 radiant damage when it starts its turn in sunlight. While in sunlight, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks.
Regeneration. The Blivdig regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the Blivdig takes acid or radiant damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the Blivdig's next turn. The Blivdig dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 2) slashing damage plus 9 (2d8) necrotic damage.
Withering Gaze. One creature that the Blivdig can see within 60 feet of it must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Aura of Annihilation. The Blivdig has this aura active. While active, the aura deals 5 necrotic damage to any creature that ends its turn within 30 feet of the Blivdig. Undead and Fiends ignore this effect.
Description
A Blivdig is the undying remains of a troll twisted by a follower of Orcus.
A worshiper of Orcus can perform a ritual ceremony while carving the demon lord’s symbol on a troll's chest over the heart. Orcus’s power flays body, mind, and soul, leaving behind a sentient husk that consumes life energy near it. The Troll is consumed, leaving a horrendous creature resembling a troll, but twisted, hollow, and unimaginably deformed. Initially it will follow the worshipers orders, but Orcus can utilize it as a watcher over the cult, or as a immediate response to enact his will.
