Multiattack. The Astralycan makes two core attacks and one bite attack.
Core. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8+6) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) force damage.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10+6) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) force damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 20 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Mind Rend. Ranged Spell Attack: +10 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d8) psychic damage. A creature hit by this attack must succeed on a DC 17 Intelligence saving throw or be incapacitated until the end of its next turn.
Confuse Senses. The Astralycan muddles the senses of a creature within 60 feet that is not aware of the Astralycan's presence. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Intelligence saving throw or be blinded and deafened for one minute. This action does not reveal the Astralycan's presence. A creature affected by this action can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on themselves on a success.
The Astralycan can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Astralycan regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Attack. The Astralycan makes one core attack.
Move. The Astralycan moves up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Phantasmal Howl (Costs 2 Actions). The Astralycan emits a disorienting howl. Each creature within 30 feet of the Astralycan that can hear it must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if the Astralycan is within line of sight, ending the effect on itself on a success.
