Unsettling Presence: Creatures within 30 feet of the Ravenous Predator that can see it must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Ravenous Predator's Unsettling Presence for the next 24 hours. Any allies that make this save for the first time, that remain allies will maintain permanent immunity.
Explosive Power: The Ravenous Predator's Chimeric Claw attacks deal an additional 2d8 elemental damage. The Ravenous Predator can choose the type of elemental damage from the following options: psychic, necrotic, poison, or acid.
Regenerative Hunger: At the start of each of its turns, the Ravenous Predator regains 10 hit points if it has at least 1 hit point remaining. If the Ravenous Predator takes damage from silvered weapons, this trait doesn't function at the start of the next turn and will only reactivate after 1-turn without having taken any damage from a silvered weapon.
Magic Resistance: The Ravenous Predator has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack: The Ravenous Predator makes three attacks: one with its Bite and two with its Chimeric Claws.
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) necrotic damage.
Chimeric Claws: Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.
Ravenous Leap (Recharge 5-6): The Ravenous Predator can leap up to 30 feet in a straight line towards a target. Each creature within 5 feet of where it lands must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a failed save, creatures are also knocked prone.
Immobilizing Howl (1/Day): The Ravenous Predator unleashes an immobilizing howl. Each creature within 60 feet that can hear the howl must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed with fear for 1 minute. A paralyzed creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Shadow Step: When the Ravenous Predator is targeted by an attack it can see, it may use its reaction to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see, avoiding the attack. If the Ravenous Predator teleports behind the attacker, it can make a single Chimeric Claw attack with advantage. The target is considered surprised.
Description
The Apex Chimeric Shape: The Ravenous Predator is the ultimate manifestation of the Circle of the Ravenous curse. Standing as a twisted humanoid figure, this medium-sized monstrosity exudes an aura of primal power and malevolence. Its form is compact yet explosive, built for deadly efficiency in combat. The creature’s skin is a pallid, sickly hue, stretched taut over sinewy muscles and sharp, jagged bones that protrude unnaturally.
Its eyes are deep-set, glowing with a predatory light, and its mouth is filled with rows of needle-like fangs. The Ravenous Predator's limbs are elongated, ending in razor-sharp claws capable of rending flesh and bone with ease. Despite its unsettling and monstrous appearance, the creature moves with an eerie grace, its movements quick and deliberate, designed to strike terror into the hearts of its foes.
