Traits

Beyond Death. When the Dara is reduced to 0 hit points, she falls unconscious and her spirit rises from her body. Her spirit is a ghost that replaces her actions with only the Ghostblood Greatsword attack. If she dies, her spirit also dies, and vice versa. If her spirit reduces a creature to 0 hit points, she regains 9 2d8 hit points. Her spirit immediately returns to her body if she wakes up by any means.

Hunter's Bane. She has advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track fey, fiends, and undead, and on intelligence checks to recall information about them.

Rite Weapon. Her rite weapon is her greatsword. Her attacks with her rite weapon are magical and deal an additional 4 (1d8) necrotic damage (included in the attack).

Actions

Multiattack. Dara makes 3 attacks with the Ghostblood Greatsword.

Ghostblood Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5ft., 1 target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage plus 4 (1d8) necrotic damage. This attack does an additional 11 (2d10) necrotic damage against an undead target and ignores resistance to necrotic damage.

Create Specter. (2/day) Dara targets a dead humanoid within 10 feet of her. The targets' spirit rises as a specter under her control. The specter acts immediately after her and obeys her verbal commands.

Bonus Actions

Blood Curse of Binding (1/Short Rest). Dara can choose one creature she can see within 30 feet of her to bind in blood. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or its speed is reduced to 0 and it can't use reactions until the end of Dara's next turn.

Reactions

Blood Curse of the Fallen Puppet. When an ally of Dara is reduced to 0 hit points while within 30 feet of her, she can give the creature a final act of aggression. Before it falls unconscious or dies, the ally can make one weapon attack against a target of Dara's choice within weapon range.

Legendary Actions

Dara can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Dara regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

Life Drain. Dara makes one Ghostblood Greatsword attack, which deals an extra 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. She regains hit points equal to this extra damage.

Bloodbound Sacrifice. (Costs 2 Actions). Dara sacrifices a portion of her own vitality to prevent nearby foes from escaping. She takes 1d6 necrotic damage. All creatures of her choice within 20 feet must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be bloodbound for 1 minute. (Save ends at end of turn). Undead creatures make this saving throw at disadvantage.

Bloodbound (condition)

Spectral chains link a bloodbound creature to the Ghostblood Greatsword. A creature bound in this way cannot move to another plane of existence or become invisible. Its movement speed is halved, and it cannot be magically teleported. Additionally, attacks with this weapon against a bloodbound creature are made with advantage.
