Mimicry. The Wendigo can mimic sounds it has heard within the past 24 hours. A creature that hears the sounds can identify that they are imitations with a successful DC 14 Wisdom (Insight) check.
Multiattack. The Wendigo makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d10 + 3) piercing damage. If the target's hit points are reduced to 0 by this attack, the Wendigo immediately regains 14 (2d10 + 3) hit points.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) slashing damage. On a hit, the target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take an additional 9 (2d8) necrotic damage.
Description
A Wendigo is a large creature that stands, on average, around 10- to 15-ft. tall with dark skin pulled tightly to its bones and what appears to be a deer skull for a head. The size of a Wendigo varies depending on the amount it has eaten, as the more a Wendigo has eaten, the taller it grows.
In many folklore, Wendigos are said to be the spirits of cannibalism, driving anyone who finds themselves in a Wendigo's domain to turn to cannibalism out of hunger and desperation.
