Traits

Paracausal. When using these statistics for a creature, choose a symbol of power from the list below or roll a d6 to determine the symbol. The creature gains the symbol and its corresponding buff. If this creature is killed by another creature, it's symbol of power is given to the creature that killed it, granting that creature the Paracausal feature if it did not have it. A creature may only have one symbol of power and gaining a new one overwrites the previous.

1 - Dark. Once per turn the creature may add its challenge rating or character level to a damage roll of an attack made while in darkness or half that amount while in dim light.
2 - Pyramid. The creature emits a 10-foot-radius aura that causes enemies within it to have disadvantage on Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma saving throws.
3 - Kill. Once per turn the creature may make an extra attack when it reduces a creature to 0 hit points with an attack.
4 - Worship. When a creature you can see within 30 feet is reduced to 0 hit points you may use your reaction to heal that creature for 1 hit point.
5 - Traveler. The creature emits a 10-foot-radius aura that causes allies within it to have advantage on Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma saving throws.
6 - Light. Once per turn the creature may add its challenge rating or character level to a healing roll made while in bright light or half that amount while in dim light.

Strand. The Weaver has abilities that afflict targets with points of severed. While afflicted by severed, any damage dealt by the creature is reduced by 2 (1d4) for each point of severed. A creature loses points of severed at the start of its turn equal to its Wisdom modifier (a minimum of 1).

If a creature has 7 or more points of severed, it loses all points of severed and becomes suspended, causing it to be restrained. At the end of its turns the creature may attempt to break free with a DC 14 Strength saving throw.

Actions

Multiattack. The Weaver either makes three attacks with its Resonant Allision or one with its Resonant Allision and one with its Weaver's Dart.

Resonant Allision. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 60/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d4 + 4) fire damage plus 5 (1d10) force damage, and the target gains 2 points of severed.

Weaver's Dart. The Weaver throws a dart of strand matter at a creature it can see within 30 feet. The target must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. If the target fails, it takes 11 (2d10) points of force damage, gains 4 points of severed, and the dart may then ricochet to another creature of the Weaver's choice within 30 feet of the target if one is available. The dart may continue to ricochet up to four times unless a targeted creature succeeds on its saving throw or no target is available. The dart may not target the same creature twice in one attack.

Bonus Actions

Rebound. The Weaver chooses a large or smaller creature it can see within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be thrown 60 feet in a direction of the Weaver's choice. If the target creature collides with a solid surface it cannot move such as a wall or tree, the target takes damage as if it were falling, taking 3 (1d6) points of bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it traveled before the collision.

Reactions

Threaded Specter. The Weaver adds 2 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the Weaver must see the attacker. If this reaction causes the attack to miss, the Weaver creates an illusory image of itself in its current space and the Weaver teleports to an unoccupied space of its choice within 10 feet. This illusory image lasts until the start of the Weaver's next turn and if a hostile creature makes contact with the illusion or ends its turn within 5 feet of the illusion, it will detonate in a burst of strand matter, dealing 6 (1d10) force damage to any creatures within 5 feet.
