Description
The Black Mercy is a parasitic creature found in the deepest caves. It is rare to see one on the surface, but occasionally they'll venture out of their dark abodes to hunt. They feed of brainwave energy, and they are ambush hunters. If one is ever confronted with a direct threat, it is rare they will fight back. Typically, they will do whatever necessary to escape.
The method of feeding for a Black Mercy is that it'll use its many tendrils to pump it's victim full of hallucinogenic toxins while they're asleep. The toxin then makes the victim see vivid dreams, typically panic attack inducing ones. The brainwave energy produced from fear is a Black Mercy's favorite. Though, older Black Mercys have learned that if they illicit happy visions, they may not fill them up as much, but they're less likely to be attacked by the victim upon waking.
