Traits

Beekeeper. As long as the golem is at more than 10 hp, two swarms of insects (bees) fly around the golem and aid it in combat, acting on the same initiative, after the golem.

Actions

Multiattack. The golem makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Burning Grasp (Recharge 5-6). The golem reaches for a creature of Medium or smaller size within 10 feet of it and attempts to seize them with its hand. The target creature must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or be grappled (escape DC 18). Until this grapple ends, the creature is restrained, takes 7 (2d4 + 3) fire damage at the start of each of its turns, and the golem cannot grasp another target.

Description

Beekeeper's Golems are created by beekeepers (hence the name) to help them in their work. They are usually sculpted out of honey, the most abundant resource for any beekeeper. Bees constantly fly around the golem, eating the honey on it, building on it with even more honey, and sometimes even attempting to sting it! The Beekeeper's Golem is immune to any sting, however, because of its viscous, squishy body.

The sun, constantly shining on the Beekeeper's Golem, will charge up heat inside of it (its honey acting as a sort of magnifying glass) and it releases this energy through a special heat-charged grip attack.

Beekeeper's Golems are becoming increasingly rare, and are usually now seen in the Feywild and The Vortex (a major and minor plane of existence, respectively), where beekeepers still thrive. Occasionally one might see a Beekeeper's Golem in the Material Plane, but only the largest of honey farms have them, and of those there are few.
