Legendary Resistance (5/Day). If the Gilded Warrior fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Resistance. The Gilded Warrior has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Magic Weapons. The Gilded Warrior's weapon attacks are magical.
Sneak Attack. The Gilded Warrior deals an extra 20 (4d10) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack.
War Magic. When the Gilded Warrior uses its action to cast a cantrip, it can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.
Divine Smite. When the Gilded Warrior hits a creature with a melee weapon attack, it can expend one spell slot to deal radiant damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage. The extra damage is 10d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 5d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 30d8.
Assassinate. During its first turn, the Gilded Warrior has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn. Any hit the Gilded Warrior scores against a surprised creature is a critical hit.
Multiattack. The Gilded Warrior makes five attacks with its longsword or longbow.
Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +25 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 45 (8d8+10) slashing damage plus 4d10 sneak attack damage.
Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +25 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 40 (8d8+10) piercing damage plus 4d10 sneak attack damage.
Spellcasting. The Gilded Warrior is a 20th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 30, +20 to hit with spell attacks). It has the following spells prepared:
- Cantrips (at will): Fire Bolt, Mage Hand, Prestidigitation, True Strike
- 1st level (4 slots): Shield, Magic Missile, Mage Armor, Detect Magic
- 2nd level (3 slots): Mirror Image, Misty Step, Hold Person
- 3rd level (3 slots): Counterspell, Fireball, Dispel Magic
- 4th level (3 slots): Greater Invisibility, Dimension Door, Stoneskin
- 5th level (3 slots): Cone of Cold, Wall of Force
- 6th level (2 slots): Disintegrate

Parry. The Gilded Warrior adds 10 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the Gilded Warrior must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.
The Gilded Warrior can take 5 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Gilded Warrior regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
- Attack. The Gilded Warrior makes one weapon attack.
- Cast a Spell (Costs 2 Actions). The Gilded Warrior casts a spell.
- Move. The Gilded Warrior moves up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
- Divine Smite (Costs 3 Actions). The Gilded Warrior uses its Divine Smite feature.
- Teleport (Costs 3 Actions). The Gilded Warrior magically teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, up to 120 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.
Lair and Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the Gilded Warrior takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the Gilded Warrior can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Arcane Surge. The Gilded Warrior regains a spell slot of 5th level or lower.
- Divine Shield. The Gilded Warrior gains temporary hit points equal to its Constitution modifier (10) times 10.
- Shadow Step. The Gilded Warrior and any number of creatures it chooses within 120 feet teleport to unoccupied spaces it can see within 120 feet of their current positions.
