Traits

Sunlight Sensitivity. The Vampire cannot go into the sun without suffering grotesque, painful boils that burn across its skin. The Vampire suffers 1d12 damage upon entering direct sunlight, and an additional 1d8 damage for every one of its turns that it remains in the sunlight.

Telepathic Charm. The Vampire doesn't need to speak to communicate its thoughts, instead communicating via telepathy up to a range of 50ft. It cannot communicate complicated ideas, but rather simple concepts or instructions, such as "follow me."

Any creatures affected by the Telepathic Charm must succeed on a DC 5 Insight check to interpret the Vampire's messages, and a DC 13 Insight check to realize that the Vampire is not actually talking with its mouth.

Spider Climb. The vampire is able to move up, down, and across vertical and upside-down horizontal surfaces while keeping its hands free. Its climbing speed is also equivalent to its walking speed.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: (Strength Modifier + 3) to hit, reach 5 ft., single target. Hit: (1d8) piercing damage. Bitten creatures must make an opposed Athletics or Acrobatics check against the Vampire's Athletics to resist being grappled. The vampire heals an amount equivalent to the damage it dealt, and gains the Full effect.

While Full, the vampire becomes woozy. It suffers a -2 penalty to all ability scores. This effect stacks until all of the vampire's stats decrease to 2, after which it becomes vulnerable to all types of damage. Its armour class and passive perception both decrease by one, and its movement speed decreases by 5 ft.

Reactions

Opportunity Attack. The vampire can make a bite attack as a reaction against a creature moving out of its range of attack.

Description

Vampires are most frequently completely cloaked in dark clothing that hides every part of their body--which is for good reason, because its true figure is grotesque and hideous. A vampire's skin is pallid and clammy when it is hungry,  stretched tightly along the not-quite-bones underneath its flesh. Its face is a mess of mouth and teeth with few other discernable features.

The quality that distinguishes the vampire from other monstrosities is its unrivalled ability to charm its prey. Although the vampire doesn't speak, it is able to communicate with its targets telepathically, becoming exceedingly persuasive.

Incidentally, a vampire is made most vulnerable when it has been fed, becoming sluggish and woozy by the influx of blood into its system.
