Traits
Burning Aura. The Amber Ashes Revenant emits intense heat. Any creature that starts its turn within 10 feet of the revenant must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 10 (3d6) fire damage.
Ignite. If the Amber Ashes Revenant deals fire damage to a target, the target catches fire. Until a creature takes an action to douse the fire, it takes 7 (2d6) fire damage at the start of each of its turns.
Ash Form. The Amber Ashes Revenant can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Last Burst. When the Amber Ashes Revenant is destroyed, it explodes in a cloud of ash. Each creature within 10 feet of it must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, creatures that fail the save are blinded until the end of their next turn.
Actions
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) fire damage.
Ashen Wave (Recharge 5–6). The Amber Ashes Revenant releases a wave of scorching ash in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 27 (6d8) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The area becomes lightly obscured by ash for 1 minute.
Bonus Actions
Flame Step. The Amber Ashes Revenant can use its bonus action to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. The destination must be within a space of fire or burning debris. Upon teleporting, each creature within 5 feet of the space the revenant left must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Reactions
Elusive Dust. When the Amber Ash Revenant is attacked by an enemy within 30 feet, it can make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw. On a successful save, the attacker has disadvantage on the attack roll.
Description
Description
The Amber Ashes Revenant is a haunting remnant of fiery catastrophes and ancient sorcery. It arises from the souls of those who perished in infernos and now manifest as eerie, ember-like beings. Its body flickers with the glow of smoldering ash and amber hues, radiating a suffocating heat that burns all who approach.
These revenants glide with an eerie, ghostly grace, their presence marked by the faint, crackling sounds of burning embers. They attack with a vengeful fury, using their fiery aura to incinerate anything in their vicinity. Often found in the aftermath of devastating fires or at the sites of cursed conflagrations, Amber Ashes Revenants are both a terrifying and tragic reminder of past infernos.
Legends tell of their creation through dark rituals or as manifestations of unresolved suffering. Their spectral forms and blazing eyes evoke both fear and sorrow, making them formidable foes in any encounter.
Appearance
The Amber Ash Revenant manifests as a more substantial and intense elemental, with its body made of densely packed ashes and glowing amber highlights. It exudes a radiant, suffocating heat, and its form is constantly shifting, as if fueled by an inner fire. Its eyes are like burning coals, and it moves with an almost regal, yet terrifying presence. The ambient heat around it is palpable, causing the very air to waver with its intensity.
