Void-Hardened Flesh
Hadar’s gift has altered Anna’s body at a fundamental level. Her skin tightens and darkens in moments of danger, taking on a rubbery, starless sheen that turns blades aside as if striking cold stone.
Multiattack. Anna makes three melee attacks.
Tentacle: Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft. and range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage, or 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it has the Grappled condition (escape DC 13) from one of three tentacles.
Parry. Anna adds 3 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, Anna must see the attacker and have her tentacles revealed.
Description
Grieving the senseless death of her son, Anna Krezkov sought answers beyond faith. At the Abbot’s urging, she braved the Amber Temple, where her resolve carried her to the sarcophagus of Hadar. The Dark Hunger revealed to her that all suffering in Barovia flows from a single source: Strahd von Zarovich.
Anna accepted Hadar’s gift.
She returned transformed—stronger, colder, and driven mad by her conviction. Her hair has become a writhing mass of living tentacles, normally bound beneath a turban. When revealed, these appendages lash out to spear or restrain her enemies. Calm in voice but fanatical in purpose, Anna now hunts Strahd with merciless, unrelenting resolve.
