Traits

Shapechanger. The werebeetle can use its action to polymorph into a Beetle-humanoid hybrid or into a Beetle, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its AC, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying is transformed, unless dropped beforehand. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Insect Wings. The werebeetle has small wings for its size, granting it a 15ft fly speed in either Beetle form.

Actions

Multiattack. (Beetle or Hybrid Form Only). The werebeetle makes two attacks: One with its horn and one with its pincers or one with its horn and one with its weapon (hybrid form).

Horn (Beetle or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: (2d8 + Str Mod)  piercing damage. If the target is large or smaller, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Pincers (Beetle or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: (2d6 + Str Mod) slashing damage.

Description

A werebeetle is a rare sight, often scavengers that can appear as a humanoid, as a medium size Beetle, or in a terrifying hybrid form—a chitinous and horned humanoid body topped by a terrifying Hercules beetle head.
