Stone Body. The Weeping Angel has Resistance to Non-Magical Piercing and Slashing, Thunder. It has Vulnerability to Bludgeoning damage.
Watcher's Gaze. If there is at least one creature that has an Intelligence Score greater than 4 observing the Weeping Angel, its Movement speed is reduced to 0 and it is incapable of using Actions or Bonus Actions until there are no Watchers observing it. A creature cannot observe the Angel when the Angel is in full darkness, or the creature is behind Full Cover.
Siege Weapon. The Weeping Angel has advantage on Melee Attacks against inanimate objects, and always deals maximum damage against them.
Absorb Time. Necrotic Damage dealt by the Weeping Angel heals it and decreases the Maximum Hit Points of the creature it hits by an amount equal to the damage. Changes to a creature's Hit Point Maximum caused by this ability remain until treated by the Greater Restoration and Wish spells or the creature takes a Long Rest. If a creature's Hit Point Maximum reaches 0, its body withers and cannot be resurrected by anything short of the True Resurrection and Wish spells.
Statue Possession. The Weeping Angel is capable of taking control of other statues, granting that statue angel properties. When the Original Weeping Angel is killed, statues infected by it become inert again.
Multiattack. The Weeping Angel attacks with two Scratch attacks.
Scratch. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing, 15 (2d8 + 6) force, and 11 (2d4 + 6) necrotic damage. A creature hit by this attack must succeed a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be grappled. A creature grappled this way may make this save again at the end of each of its turns until it escapes the grapple.
Absorb. The Weeping Angel absorbs the life of a creature it has grappled. The grappled creature must succeed a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 22 (5d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Tear. Melee Weapon Attack. +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) slashing, 8 (1d8 + 4) force, and 6 (1d4 + 4) necrotic damage. This attack can only be used on grappled creatures. When the Weeping Angel uses this attack, the creature it attack is no longer grappled, regardless of the attack's result.
Blink. As a Reaction, the Weeping Angel can absorb the energy from all light sources within 30 feet of it. Light sources absorbed this way fade away for 1 minute. If a spell is a light source being absorbed this way, the Angel must succeed a Charisma saving throw against the spellcaster's Spell Save DC. If it succeeds, the spell ends.
Watcher's Lapse. As a Reaction when all Watchers observing the Angel blink, the Angel can move half its movement without provoking Opportunity Attacks. If an Angel reaches a creature with this movement, it may attack with one Scratch attack.
Description
Artificial creatures created as precursors to the Echoed, some can still be seen around Ancient Ruins alongside them. They were created by Daedalus Haringir while experimenting the creation of artificial bodies for souls following the betrayal of the Fallen Goddess, Tiamat. As the war progressed, so did Daedalus' experiments, allowing him to create proper vessels for souls, and forcing the Angel Project, now known as the Weeping Angels, to stagnate, only serving as guardians alongside the Echoed of the ancient civilization. Just like the standard Echoed units, most Weeping Angels have lost all semblance of intelligence, attacking anything in sight. However, they soon became incapable of moving while being observed by other sentient creatures, including themselves, forcing them to look like stone statues of angelic creatures, weeping eternal tears.
