Traits

Swarm Coordination (Leader-Dependent). Beer Webs only cooperate in groups if their Mixer is present. Without a Mixer, Beer Webs in proximity attack each other and anything nearby indiscriminately.

Alcoholic Body. The Beer Web’s body fluid is 100% alcohol. Any creature taking piercing damage from the Beer Web may be affected by mild intoxication (DM’s discretion).

Dual Glands.

  • Venom Gland: Delivers poison through bite.

  • Alcohol Gland: Injects alcohol into targets, temporarily impairing them.

Spider Climb. The Beer Web can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the Beer Web knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.

Web Walker. The Beer Web ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.

Actions

Venom Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 1 piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 9 Constitution saving throw or take 2 rollable;{"diceNotation":"1d4","rollType":"damage","rollAction":"Venom Bite","rollDamageType":"poison"}[/rollable] poison damage.

Alcohol Injection. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 1 piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 9 Constitution saving throw or take 2 rollable;{"diceNotation":"1d4","rollType":"damage","rollAction":"Alcohol Injection","rollDamageType":"poison"}[/rollable] poison damage.

Description

Beer Webs are tiny spiders drawn to spilled beer and tavern areas. They rely on their Mixer to coordinate attacks; without a leader, they become chaotic and attack each other. Each Beer Web carries two deadly glands: a venom gland for poison and an alcohol gland for stunning or impairing foes. Their climbing ability and connection to webs make them highly mobile and dangerous in their native environments.

Behavior: Ambush predators inside taverns, inns, and breweries; aggressive around kegs and brewing equipment; swarm efficiency depends entirely on a Mixer.
